Re: Hopes for Dam in Pandemic - #PanDAMic.
So...any of my UK Brethren thinking of jumping the gun and booking Dam for the summer following Uncle Boris' "Roadmap" out of lockdown? I have noticed a lot of news articles saying there has been a massive surge in holiday and flight bookings since the announcement. I've got my finger on ...

Re: Hopes for Dam in Pandemic - #PanDAMic.
Looking at the current climate I think it's safe to say any trips should be at least postponed until around April - anybody thinking of pencilling in a trip/have already booked anything? I think even April is optimistic. I’m thinking about October or November, but realistically don’t think I’ll act...

Westcord City Centre
Situated in a good location on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, this three star hotel is usually my first choice.
It’s friendly, clean, comfortable and walking distance to pretty much everything, especially the station.

Amnesia
Barney’s
I remember stumbling across CS Pink Floyd by accident in the 90s and as I walked through the door, Shine On You Crazy Diamond started playing. Epic moment.
(I share a birthday with Syd Barrett, but that’s just a coincidence)

Regrettably, things still seem to be going in the wrong direction, so unfortunately I now declare this trip CANCELLED.
Good luck for those of you planning a visit in April.

Re: February 2021
Looks like Netherlands has gone tits up with coronavirus!
I booked and paid for accommodation in the summer and will have to decide on November 16th whether or not this trip is going ahead, but at the moment it’s looking pretty unlikely

Re: Current rules travelling to ‘Dam!?!
Thanks for the above. I didn’t end up going. However, I am thinking of going next week. I heard Netherlands has been taken off the UK list, so we no longer need to quarantine when we get back. Is this true? It’s not very clear on the gov website. Anybody recently been? The FCO currently advises aga...

Re: February 2021
Given the general uncertainties at the moment, not to mention disinformation and doubts even about the truth, over COVID-19, travel restrictions, whether 420 in October or even in 2021 is happening and the general unholy mess, it seems this trip currently hangs in the balance.

Re: What's everyone listening to?
The other night, BBC4 repeated a Prom concert with Simon Rattle conducting the National Youth Orchestra and about a zillion singers in various choirs, performing Mahler’s 8th symphony, nicknamed Symphony of a Thousand, due to the enormous number of performers. Routing through my floor standing B&...
