Are you sure that you're not getting the nh Amsterdam Centre with the nh City Centre? All the the rooms at the Amsterdam Centre have modern decor with good facilities and I didn't think there were any bad rooms.

I'd be amazed if Dutch productions came with English subtitles. I know that they often come with their own Dutch subs though. Check out bol.com, it's like the Amazon for NL.
