Re: What is your most random Red Light/Coffee Shop experienc

............ Not RLD/Coffeeshop related but I found the presence of pigeons inside McDonalds in Haarlem very odd as well... That reminds me of a trip back in 1985 when a mate & I were in Amsterdam Macdonalds and the milkshake machine behind the counter blew up  Sprayed the staff and wall...

Re: Cheapest place you've scored....

I have bought cannabis in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand and Egypt. Prices in Asia have definately gone up in the last decade and its not as cheap as it used to be. The cheapest by far these days has been in Egypt, where I saw it was possible to get fairly good weed at £30 per kilo. However the ...

"In Time"

Enjoyed this film, quite a good idea of a future society that trades in time rather than money. Needless to say its still the rich bastards exploiting the poor.

Re: verticalsquare's first Amsterdam trip 23-26Nov2011

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to write your report. I really enjoyed reading it. Very funny at times and very engaging. I reckon you did more in your three / four days than I have done in my last three trips. But thats the fatal flaw in having your own hotel room .... it can get hard to lea...

Any fans of The Water Margin here ?

"Do not despise the snake for having no horns, for who is to say it will not become a Dragon !" Yep, I grew up with the Water Margin back in the late Seventies, and every few years I get the calling to watch the entire series over again, which is exactly what i am doing at the moment. I a...

Re: Any decent comedy films to watch at the moment?

How about, for me, a classic stoners movie, "Darkstar". It reduces me to tears each time i watch it!! Superb call Artymac 8) 8) 8) I havent thought of this film in a long, long, long time. Saw it first when i was about fourteen and it blew me away. I remember it came out during the same e...

Re: Walking Dead

I loved series one of Walking Dead, but havent enjoyed series two half as much. To me its changed from adventure and suspense to just a bunch of people moaning at each other. Where are the epic zombie battles of Series One ? Its now becomming more like watching Eastenders with an occasional bit of B...

Re: off on my holiday next week to Egypt anyone been?

I have seen more weed in Egypt than I have in Amsterdam ! It is highly likely that you could get sorted out for weed from someone at your hotel. In my experience around half the younger guys working in the tourist trade will be smokers. If there is a temporary tatoo service or massage service in you...

Re: what film(s) are u watching

Holy Shit, saw this last night and it has to be the worst film I have seen in a decade. Its so bad in every way that its fantastic. The wife and I were in hysterics doing impressions of the actors and trying to work out the worst scene. I particularly liked the shoot out on bicycles. Man its so chea...

Re: off on my holiday next week to Egypt anyone been?

I was in Egypt four weeks ago (my third visit). Staying in a very laid back beach camp north of Dahab about an hours drive or so from Sharm. Sharm is pretty chilled and can be a lot of fun at night with a mixed crowd of people. Its good value for money and will only cost you loose change to sit at a...
