Greenhouse Effect. Clean, perfect location and guest discounts at coffeeshop and bar. 2e pints and 14e grams for 12e. Smoke friendly. They actually have a flyer in room saying if you smoke open the windows or you will be charged for fire brigade.

A drink and smoke was my favorite Amsterdam experience as well. So, I understand it to go as this- A bar cannot sell weed and alchohol but you can bring in weed and smoke it? A place like Greenhouse Effect is unaffected because the coffeeshop and bar are separate places?? Ne1 know?

I get the same feelings when looking at my pics and vids. Lucky all of you already in that area. Couple hundred and youre there. Im looking at a thousand just for airfare, not to mention the 9-10 hr flight. Was just there in March as well, looks like next March before I can be back.

I liked the dock area near NEMO at night. They should have the stairs to top open at night. I also found myself in the areas around Westerkerk and Singel at night. They seemed pleasant as well.

The area is awesome and safe. I was just there a week alone. I stayed on Warmoesstraat and even wandered the RLD till 1am Alone.

Dunno about one that lets you smoke. Plas tours off of damrak is only 6,50e for a 1hr roundtrip w no stops. Canalbus 18e but has stops all around city and is good until noon next day.
