Re: bike rides

These jaunts are probably not the most convienient nor the best, but I can confirm that they are nice ... From Amsterdam towards Ouderkerk aan de Amstel: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=amsterdam&hl=en&ll=52.328134,4.898182&spn=0.028955,0.087891&sll=37.09024,-112.5&sspn=38.365962,9...

ftcarer: Gad, where did you find it? Wappa's eluded me 'til now. I'll guess it comes from your own private coffeeshop :)

Afghaan Widow (New Balance, Zwolle, €6.50/0.5g?) – An easy-going, relaxing stone that I am rather partial to. Felt like the heel of a giant hand was pushing down on my head. Even-keeled.

Re: pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

Wappa (New Balance, Zwolle, €6/0.5g?) – Wappa is a Paradise Seeds’ strain, so I thought I’d give it a try. This one purrs. It’s got a body stone – in my case, a massage to the top of the front of the head and a tingling in the shoulders and arms. Waves of warmth pass through. The brain’s functioning...

Re: pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

SGawain235: Being able to bring bikes on the train is good for another reason, as well: rain. If you make hotel reservations in towns on train lines, and ride your bike on paths fairly close to train lines, you essentially take Mother Nature out of the equation. When you happen to run into a rainy d...

Re: pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

Marco: Coming from one of my favorite unapologists on these boards, that is high praise. Thanks! I am unfamiliar with the parliamentary (?) system. It strikes me as odd that a party would/could join a coalition, only to be omitted from the government. Yet Wilders *is* able to form policy, as Wietpas...

Re: pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

Epsilon: I tried two strains from New Balance and liked them both. You'll hear about them shortly :) Willjay: I wouldn't have guessed the Netherlands was such a fine place to travel, but it is. Between the bike paths and the outdoor lifestyle of the Dutch, the weed and the strangely inexpensive hote...

Re: pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

Cisco: My experience outside of Amsterdam was a pleasant surprise. The bike trails between towns are clearly spelled out; there are numbered map stations along each path. The hotels are nice. People speak English, as they do in Amsterdam. Towns such as Deventer, Amersfoort and Zwolle are really pret...

Re: pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

Jack Herer (Horizon, Amersfoort, ~€5/0.5g) - I took this one first thing in the morning. I got into the shower, and whenever I closed my eyes I thought I was losing my balance. Once I got back into the room, it felt like my head was being pulled to my left. At first the Herer was mind-bending. Event...

Re: pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

Chocolope (Paradox, Amsterdam, €5/0.5g) - Several People on this forum have said that Chocolope doesn't do much. I concur. Paradox is a nice place. While I was there, I asked the budtender whether Wietpas would happen. He said it never will -- at least not in Amsterdam nor in other large towns. He b...

pot, A(msterdam) to Z(wolle)

Well, this trip saw me in the Netherlands for seven days, four of which I spent outside of Amsterdam. The weed's better outside of the capitol, folks.

Re: purple weed

HGF had Purple Power in February. Chapiteau had Purple Poison. I thought the Purple Power had a great yes-let's-party-and-make-mischief stone, but not everyone on this forum share my positive sentiments.

Re: Looking for some strains

I've had the brick Durban Poison from Any Day, and I enjoyed it. It gave me a nostalgic, golden sunset-ty kind of high. HGF's Durban was a spiky indica, at least for me. I found HGF's Nimbin to be similar to AD's Durban. Good stuff, the Nimbin. As for a Mexican sativa ... De Supermarkt's Mexican Hon...
