Also how frequently, every 15 min. or 20 min. for example? I'm sure it varies based on the exact transport company but, just a general idea or links to their sites where they state this info should be enough.

What would you recommend for long terms visits for about 3 months? Can a U.S. citizen get apartments/housing around Amsterdam? Or is it more difficult if you're not a EU citizen?
