Appeared out of no-where while wandering, the Otherside offered the best coffee of the trip, and enough personal space to kick back and read the paper. Nothing on the menu took my fancy at the time, that's not to say that their shit isn't top shelf. Old mate at the bar gave me the once over but who ...

Ice is as rare as rocking horse poo, you would have to score your ice across the lane at Rookies bar (BYO ice bucket) I imagine.

John reckons he gets in each day around 8am, so you shouldn't have too long to wait before you can off-load your bags and slip away till your room's ready.

I'll keep this as brief as possible; Arrived after a 11 or 12 hour flight from Bangkok feeling fucked as you do without even a snooze on the plane. Walking through Schiphol customs around 10am, I'm pulled up and my bags searched thoroughly. No questioning, just "you're a suss looking cunt"...

First coffeeshop I entered, bought a gram of the Silver Haze EU$9 and a pre-rolled Northern Lights bunger EU$5.50. The menu didn't include any of the "highly recommended" strains I'd read about on here, but the smoko was nice just the same. Room to swing at least two cats in here, and enou...

12 hour direct flight (give or take) from Bangkok where I'd kicked back for a few days before venturing on to Amsterdam.

Sheraton Airport Hotel

My flight was delayed 13 hours, so Eva-Air kindly put me up in a club room on the 7th floor, at the Sheraton across from the Airport until the flight departed. http://aycu21.webshots.com/image/30980/2004370933775494103_th.jpg http://aycu38.webshots.com/image/31637/2004320362882039793_th.jpg http://a...

Single room was shower only and "tight". There was enough smoko variety to get you started, and I returned to the coffeeshop daily to have a nice cuppa, and smoke the pot I'd bought from every-which-where.

The Rookies (Hotel Uptown) - Korte Leidsedwarsstraat 147

I was very taken with this small well located hotel. Arriving around 11am after a 12 hour flight from Bangkok, I was met at reception by John. Now John is a strangely engaging fellow, whose quick wit was always amusing. I had requested a room at the "back" of the hotel which was a good mov...

The Dorint Hotel - Schiphol (formerly Dorint Sofitel)

I spent my last full night here (after a few days at the Rookies which was excellent, and some time in Brussels). At under 90 Euro this was a luxurious BARGAIN. From the airport follow the signs to "Hotel Buses". The Dorint has a large bus circling between the hotel and the Airport every 3...

I dropped in on the 6th of October specifically to buy LA Confidential and Chocolope. Both were sold out, and the young american guy reckoned dealers/wholesalers were saving it up for the C/Cup. He recommended "something" but I asked him to roll me a joint of the Mothers Finest (or Who's y...

Nah, the "real" report will come when I've had time to write it out. The cali-mist (Homegrown Fantasy@8 or 9 Euro) WAS fine, especially when used to compliment other varieties. I had a MASSIVE trip-out at the airport before boarding thanks to cali-mist and amnesia haze (WW Indica Haarlem@1...
