Thank you for these replies. I'll check out some of these locations. I actually lived in Cambridge for three years, but was dry as a bone the entire time; I just didn't seek it out, to my now-chagrin. Currently I'm in Newark, NJ. The plant here is astronomically overpriced. As I have no intention of...

Where am I moving next?

Time to choose a new location to live in the U.S., one with a steady supply of quality plant and a strong pothead identity. I'm shy, so making connections has never been easy for me. Better I think to move somewhere that I can immerse myself in cannabis culture. I'm thinking Berkeley or elsewhere in...

Amsterdam Escape (amsterdamescape.com) has done good by me this trip. I believe all their apartments are weed friendly/smoker friendly.

Travelogue update

First recommendation that comes to mind. Black Widow from Katsu. The Black Widow is aptly named. She steals into your mind in the darkness, in the momentary confusion. She is the archetypal wicked mother, the witch of primitive imagination. She whispers into your ear the things you thought perhaps y...

Tutti -- thank you for your open hospitality yesterday. And to ohm as well, a welcoming gentleman. I got in quickly over my head, obviously, and wound up curled in a ball in some shaded alley somewhere. But it was a very valuable experience nonetheless, or because of that. Next time we meet, and I h...

I read that first post, and I thought, oh, cool idea, I should go. And then I looked at the time of the post and I thought, oh, I think he actually means Saturday, not Sunday. And then I thought, but maybe other people, not looking at the time of the post, will have interpreted "tomorrow" ...

Nice! Bonus points for reading Dostoevsky and then getting high. Fabulous way to realign your synapses. :)

Thank you for the welcome and for the heartfelt advice. That was indeed one of the things I browsed early on. But given the strong endorsement, I'll be sure to go back and give it another read. Cheers. 8)

Thanks FBN, much appreciated. Woo-hoo, less than 48 hours till I take flight. And suddenly I'm running around with no time to get ready. Funny how all those daydreaming details I planned out, all those travelogues I vicariously mused over, back when this trip felt like just a distant mirage, are now...

Ramping Up

It's been a long wait since I first started planning, but the flight is now less than two weeks away. July 18-30 or thereabouts. My fifth visit (and mind you, my first was eighteen years ago). This will also be my longest visit to date. Hoping to pack in lots of touristy activity in combination with...

I waited tables at the inner harbor in my late teens. Work uniform was: white shirt-sleeves, khaki shorts, white socks, black sneakers.

Now there's a memory I hope one day to outlive.

Gorgeous aquarium there though; best I've seen.

Three weeks. As I've been planning it since April, it feels like no time at all. Airplane Ticket - 88 Euros. Amazing. My ticket costs roughly 1000% of that. Talk about being geographically challenged. Fortunately . . . Sitting outside my favorite C/S, smoking and watching the water flow - priceless....
