Re: we've been banned....official.
I'll believe it when I see it. Even if the law is there, will it be enforced? If I had to bet, I'd go with classic Dutch tolerance and the cops will look the other way, especially in Amsterdam. This is how the coffeeshops got started in the first place. It will be interesting if the upcoming electi...

Re: So the Weed pass thing? and your thoughts?
Assuming the coalition lasts, I believe the next election will be in June 2014 by which time the commercial and social effects of the Weitpass will be felt, especially in the capital and towns that enjoy tourist trade. With most conservative supporters, moralising finger wagging usually gives way to...

Hardly smoke now due to time constraints and no longer being arsed to track down dim wit dealers.
I do miss it and I am no healthier due smokng and drinking more. Tend to restrict it to Dutch holidays where I have the luxury of getting decent gear when and where I want.

By banning hash the price will rise and therefore the VVD will be making an even bigger contribution to international crime.Marco wrote:The VVD believes that by importing hashish from Morocco, countries like Afghanistan and contributing to the in life of international crime.

This Dutch Government is also been at the forefront of complaining about Greece's fiscal profligacy.
So why not close down all the Dutch coffeshops and let them re-open in Greece. We can all help the Greeks and enjoy a smoke in the sun.

A whiff of xenophobia about this move ("the hash comes for Morocco, Pakistan and the Lebanon").sea72 wrote:http://www.rnw.nl/english/video/netherl ... -sale-hash ... some move here.

Re: CLEAR - cannabis law reform political party - UK
Its more a pressure group than a political party. I thought the website was clean and effectively written. Your comments about him being right wing is interesting as you will find more and more Tories are sympathetic such as lawyers who are sick of this pointless policy and middle class people worri...

Not a US citizen but follow the election with great interest. Much as I appreciate Paul's honesty on the insanity of prohibition he is the candidate I would least like to see in the Whitehouse. His economic policies would send the world into a dangerous prolonged depression. His views on Government...

Re: busted by customs?
Back in the days you could smoke on trains I naively finished a joint off in a carriage in a train in Amsterdam going to Germany. Two German customs men came in and turned me over. I had about a gram and reached over to give it to him so not to prolong the search as I wasn't hiding it. One of the of...

Re: New Amsterdam Law For Tourists 2012???
There was an article on here earlier from the Daily Mail saying it's true, but what sort of cock is going to believe what they read in a British tabloid.
It might be true but I haven't seen any grown-up news sources confirm it.

There are only a handful of nice coffeeshops at best and the place always seems windswept.
