Interesting view on soil. Always thought that a 2 week flush in soil was pretty much set in stone. I've stayed around Rembrandtplein a couple of times I think I've been in Balou but it may of been another CS close to it, it was ok but never went back. I'd usually take a 10 min walk and go either dutch flowers, twede kamer or dampkring.

Pictures would be helpful, but from what you've said my guess would be overfeeding as this usually makes the leaves go darker.
