If its foul tasting...YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG. ( my guess is that you did not fill all the way, and the weed rotted, because of the air. ) Nothing can rot in 95 percent alcohol solution. For something to rot, it has to undergo bacterial/fungal decomposition and nothing can survive in such a strong ...

If you have weed sticking out of alchol in an air pocket it will rot.

Everclear is the way to go. I use it myself, to make a tinture. I also have used 151 rum ( really nasty tasting ) This method takes longer, and I have found the longer you let the plant material soak, the stronger it is, although I have used it at 12 days, I find that at least 30 days is preferable....
