Re: Return to the city of dreams

Really interesting report. Good reminder that the 'Dam can be achieved on a very small budget that doesn't diminish the experience at all with some creativity and discipline.

Re: The good and the bad. Very enjoyable read.

I am amused. Had a T&T with 7-8 folks from on here during a trip several years ago, wife and I resolved never to spend time in the 'Dam meeting up again with those we don't know. And we haven't. As in any other interpersonal application, we both prefer to meet people before, you know, deciding w...

Re: Return to the city of dreams

Not to diminish your hard times, but to compare to person that was homeless, depicted in a movie....? Doubtful he was getting high and post reports on Internet, where to buy quality. Do not diminish the real meaning of poverty, no food or shelter because you chose to spend on grass and travel. Good...

Re: My last trip....

You can always make a plan for specific times, then wander aimlessly instead. You can't wander aimlessly then backtrack and reschedule. It was a suggestion, not a mandate. If it sounds terrible to you, don't do it. Pretty easy.

Re: The Saint

I've walked out of five shops, that I can think of, just because of looking at a menu. Elevated price structure is why I walked out of Extase, Tops, Get Down To It and a shop in Maastricht that I can't remember the name of. I walked out of The Saint because the only choices were White Widow, Colombi...

Re: The Other Place

Me & Mrs. went there twice last summer. According to notes, got 1.2G Jack Herrer for 10 euros the first time, and 1G Amnesia Haze for 10 euros the second time. Caters to the gay/lesbian crowd in the immediate area. There's decent seating with the budtender/coffee area in the back. The second tim...

Jan. 14 quickie...

I had a work trip to London this week and the only way to get the most enjoyment possible was to make a pitstop. So I scheduled my flight to include a morning/early afternoon layover in our favorite city. My flight arrived very early, about 5:15 a.m. I was at Central Station by 6:10, well before the...

Return voyage...

Been a number of years since I've been to Mokum but for a number of favorable reasons, not least of them the exchange rate, the return is planned for Aug. 8. Tickets for Ajax's regular-season opener in the Eredivisie, vs. AZ Alkmeer, secured. Should be fun.

This story isn't any different than what's been happening off the coast of Somalia, except no one's advocating the abolition of oil. Unless I misread this, one-third of the total horticultural output is cannabis, and coffeeshop owners can pay more than half their incomes in taxes. Good luck getting ...

You can always just skim past the stuff you find pompous, irrelevant, overblown, arcane, self-important, verbose or childish. I've done so 362 times, at least.

what is this X amount? Perhaps someone like Shady could clarify, but my understanding is that certain amounts are not prosecuted in Germany, even though cannabis remains illegal. Pending better information, and going strictly by what I've read in past research, the acceptable amount varies from one...
