Re: So the Weed pass thing? and your thoughts?

We are running an enquiry in all 16 coffeeshops of Haarlem, seems about 15 % of the participants will register, the rest fears big brothers measurements. With those numbers, the coffeeshops will all go bankrupt. Its very hard to see how you could be wrong, sadly. Its strange that the government did...

Re: So the Weed pass thing? and your thoughts?

The weedpass has nothing to do with Amsterdam, nothing at all. It has nothing to do with tourists either, it is purely about smuggling. Again, pure speculation, with absolutely no evidence to back up what you're saying. And I mean EVIDENCE, not your opinion. You're obviously perfectly entitled to y...

Re: So the Weed pass thing? and your thoughts?

Slip and Sal, You wont be going to amsterdam if you cant by smoke, neither will anyone else on this forum nor 1000's others. This is precisely why this weedpass will never happen in amsterdam. Stop believing the hype from people who are just trying to get hits on there websites . Politicians will a...

Please say you're not being serious? I just can't believe this -apart from being utterly horrifying it would surely be illegal, no? (

Re: Chefchaouen Morocco

Cool - glad you had a good trip. Have read about this place before. Isn't smoking hash in Morocco very risky though? Have read horror stories of people having the soles of their feet beaten for up to days on end until they tell the police the name of their supplier. Didn't particularly like the soun...

Re: verticalsquare's first Amsterdam trip 23-26Nov2011

Excellent report , well writen and very funny. We have all been there ! (states of confusion etc). Went to Haarlem last time and dont remember anything about getting back on the train and much of the evening was an outragous tramp around the city and areas , wondering "how the f**ck" did ...

Great read, really enjoy your style of writing. Any time spent in Amsterdam is great time... but sadly I agree, it never seems to be enough. There's few places on earth you always hear people say that. thanks for sharing! Thanks Mr Canucks and sorry for not responding to your comment earlier. Was i...

Cheers Edgar :) Oh how I would love a stoned bike ride around Amsterdam right now. HAVE to get back this year. Hoping to go over in May / June. Would love to see Holland in the sun.

Re: Kansas sucks, I wanna go back to Oz!

Cool, Edgar, good to know. As an Irish man I know all about repressed puritanical roots :) so I found this expression pretty funny. Even though both of my parents are agnostic, and I wasn't raised religiously at all, obviously, its as if there's something in the air over here and you spend your life...

Re: Kansas sucks, I wanna go back to Oz!

FWIW, the way I think about it is this: why would you want to have sex with someone who doesn't want to have sex with you? How on earth could this be enjoyable. This is definitely one of the questions in my moral dilemna... though the big questions center around health risks and especially question...

Re: Kansas sucks, I wanna go back to Oz!

I still haven't decided where I stand on the issue of directly purchasing sexual favors. FWIW, the way I think about it is this: why would you want to have sex with someone who doesn't want to have sex with you? How on earth could this be enjoyable. The idea simply makes me sad. Anyway... Please co...

Re: Favourite Travellogue

I read an INSANE amount of these before preparing for my trip in November - they're really addictive. Its funny, the I-Got-High-In-Amsterdam travelogue seems to have developed into this strange art form of its own which could never have existed before the internet. There's something really nice abou...
