... time but less money going by rail and ferry (£50 gbp return).....but i like norwich as its near and short flight 50 mins klm.....we did have a budget airline but they pulled the amsterdam flights.....nice one FLYBE...NOT :lol:

I know what you mean about all the travelling - it takes me more time to get to the airport from my place than it does to fly from Birmingham to Schipol - at least we've got some budget airlines in the area - I couldn't face the coach journeys that some folks endure...

... I can take a long walk down south or west of the city center. It may suck now but I reckon once you are over there, you will think being on a budget in Amsterdam is far better than not being there at all.

Amsterdam on a budget......

Today - I have had a bit of a financial blow prior to my trip. Meaning that i now have probably only 70 - 80 euros a day to survive in Amsterdam. it is a real pisser. I am going next Monday (7th) for 3 nights returning late thirsday, I am seriously considering cancelling my trip, i will lose the £60...

i always budget on spending 150-250EUR+accom+flights. that includes some souvineers though, bout 15 grams usually!

I always think that 100 - 120 euros is a good amount, enough for some decent green, and a g or 2 of expensive hash, drinks, two meals + snacks and rizlas/lighters etc 8) But i could get by on 80 if i had to budget a bit.
