Re: Mediterrané
yeah it seems like from outside it looks very poor like a tourist trap... to be honest I only was one time in there and that was years ago... so I can´t say something about the current weed quality but from outside it still looks poor I was walking past this shop, and thought how I'd never been in ...

Re: Solo
I was here last week, and a shop I already liked went up in my estimation after a customer came in looking in for a particular strain of herb (didn't catch what it was). They didn't have it, but the budtender said that Basjoe might, and told him what they had that was similar. Top marks for being he...

Re: Amsterdam Coffee Shop Overview (July 2019)
Let me know if you think this was an off night? No, you're pretty much spot-on there with the Jolly Joker. I went in there exactly once, several decades ago, because at the time few coffee shops opened earlier than 12, or at least the ones I knew and liked didn't. The view is good, but that's about...

Re: Bluebird
Wow. I probably shouldn't speak too soon, but that may be the first example of a renovated coffeeshop I've seen that's actually an improvement on what went before.

Re: Bluebird
I wasn't being entirely serious. But has anyone noticed that at 1e Hulp, after months of renovation, the steps remained exactly as they were? There are hardly very many of them -- maybe six to the higher level, and five to the lower one, but they're irritatingly irregularly spaced.

Re: Bluebird
But those stairs had tradition! Did they replace them with a rope, abandoning all pretence of graduated ascent, or are you just supposed to take a deep toke and float elegantly upwards?

Re: Bluebird
I haven't bothered with the Bluebird in recent visits, and frankly the only smoke they had that I went for was the water-pressed hash (though I liked the flavoured coffees), but shall definitely look in next time. Good to hear this.

Re: Voyagers
Visited yesterday; virtually empty because of the heat, I imagine. The powerbags are very good at the moment – lots of nugs - so suitable if you need weed to mix with hash in a pipe that needs green to burn well, for example. If I'd been after weed as such, I'd probably go elsewhere. I can't be sure...

Re: coffeeshops with air conditioning
I'm not a fan of the freezer effect some places go in for I am now. Or at least I was, yesterday. And I have the answer: it's Solo. I was nearly dead after the short walk from Centraal Station, but revived instantly. I spent an hour here, ventured out to do some B&Fs at unbearable places, and c...

Re: Best coffeeshops for hash
I'm about to return to Mokum after about a year away. And it's mainly a variety of good hash that I want, because that's what's rare over here, though there's been good bud about. I second all the recommendations above. I'd add Original Dampkring, Tweede Kamer, Johnny, and Resin being worth looking ...

It's just a spammer, picking up a post made years ago, presumably to look legit when they start spamming.

Re: A lot of us use Photobucket ...
I thought that Photobucket stopped allowing remote linking some time ago. I've switched to Imgur, which doesn't even require you to sign up. But yes, if you sign up to anything, don't use it for anything where you can be traced.

Re: Is vaping legal in Saudi Arabia?
It's apparently not technically illegal, but selling anything to do with it is illegal. As is bringing a vape or liquid into the country. So my advice would be not to do it. In a list of countries where it's a really bad idea to be on the wrong side of the law, Saudi Arabia is quite high on the list...
