Re: Amsterdam launches campaign against misbehaving tourists
Do strong women scare you ? If a women makes more then you is it there fault? I,m thinking last time you looked a real women in the eye was like ….never . Such a strange little man. Remember that this post was written by someone who blames pissing in the street and littering on feminism, and recent...

That's a predicative adjective, not an adverb.ed the head wrote: ↑Mon 26th Mar 2018 11:12 am Note2: if 'prachtig' would be used as an adverb instead, it's always without 'e' ('het weertje is prachtig!', 'de zomer is mooi' ...)

You know how you think of things when you have a smoke that seem profound, and then later they seem like rubbish? Best not to enshrine them for perpetuity.

There's no such thing as clogging it up, surely. The more reviews the merrier, that's what the site's here for. (Apart from using them to spam, shill or generally be a dickhead, but that goes without saying.)

Re: Baba (formerly Barentsz)
Like most here, I imagine, I was never a fan of the old Baba, and didn't see why they should up their game when taking over a notoriously unfriendly-to-tourists shop. But a recommendation of CC is not to be sneered at. Besides, one gets into a rut, but Utopia was closed, the weather was good, and it...

Re: ACD 420 2018 Live Thread
Now that the dust has settled, I'd like to apologise for the brevity of it all, and having to disappear after the NA visit, as my schedule required getting back to the centre (who says stoners can't be organised?). Particular thanks to CC, who satisfied my curiosity about toasted tobacco; Smirks, wh...

Far fewer tourists, and no sodding trams. Walking is easy enough, or go zippy with bikes.MinnBobber wrote: ↑Wed 9th May 2018 08:19 am Thanks, excited to visit Haarlem as envision it as mini-AMS and not so busy/ not so crowded?
High Times and Birdy were always my favourites. YMMV.

Re: Utopia
It's natural to resent change, and to be fair, a lot of the changes in Amsterdam haven't really been for the better. But Utopia was a shining example of a shop that was good in spite of its limitations. It's small, and narrow, and there's a limited amount of how the space can be rejigged. Also, thin...

Re: Baba (formerly Barentsz)
Has anyone sampled either their Temple Ball or Manali Cream lately? It's the sort of thing I'd think worth trekking out there for if it's worth it, but at 8€ the former looks too good to be true, or at least genuine, and the latter may or may not merit the price.

The internet tells me that these cost $15 in California. In London they go for £50. Didn't try them.

Re: What are your first/last smoke traditions?
The problem with Voyagers for a first smoke is that they have only one type of hash, and while it's decent, I come to Mokum to get away from Moroccan hash. I could pick up something up from Central, and usually do, but I'd rather B&F from both and then head towards Utopia, where there's more has...

Re: What are your first/last smoke traditions?
First smoke: depending on how early I arrive, generally at 1e Hulp or Utopia. Exactly what it is depends on what's available, but it has to be a pipe of mixed weed/hash, ideally something I don't see in the UK. Last smoke: I say goodbye, sadly, to the various strains I've been sampling on my trip, a...

Re: 1e Hulp Coffeeshop
Came here for my opening smoke. I'd been getting into a rut with the Sour Diesel Hash, so as it was off the menu, I went for the GG#4. Nice, but as has been said, a bit pricy at 15€. I've said it has a good range of hashes at around 11€ -- well, they're mostly now a bit dearer. I'm sure the last tim...

Re: The Hague bans cannabis smoking in city centre in Dutch first
Given that the amounts of noxious and unpleasant emissions that any driver of any petrol- or diesel-powered vehicle is responsible for must outweigh those of hundreds of smokers of anything, I can only conclude that people's idea of tolerance is rather strange.

Re: Utopia
Sharp-eyed stoners will notice that the Utopia Hash is gone, and may not be back, alas. The Casablanca was recommended by CC, and I went for a g, but haven't tried it yet.
