Re: Amnesia

Came for the Acapulco Gold & the soya hot chocolate. Weed looked meh, budtender recommended Liberty Haze as strongest, ok but dry & not reaĺly worth 16€. And the chocolate's off the menu.

Re: 1e Hulp

I know what you mean about sticking to the hash. But this is my usual lifesaver when I arrive at stupid o'clock, and I like a mixed bowl. Fortunately, the early shift budtender knows my tastes and usually steers me to some weed that's decent, if not to die for.

Yep, those breath-taking views. Must be the mountainous terrain.

Welcome, Annie, if you're not really the spammer my nasty suspicious mind tells me you are.

Re: Early morning recommendations

I have an early morning 4-hour layover and was hoping to find a place that is open around 7 am You can take the 197 bus from Schiphol straight to 1e Hulp, which is generally my early coffeeshop of choice, and popular with the layover crowd. You can't smoke in Central any more, and has has been ment...

Re: Rotterdam comfy coffeeshop?

Everything in Rotterdam is for the locals, really. I've never seen any city that makes so little attempt to attract any kind of visitor, even the more respectable sort. I had a pleasant first smoke in Out of Time; the choice isn't brilliant, but not terrible either. And it has a homey sort of vibe t...

Re: El Guapo

I am in London. Buying something to smoke is not difficult. Quality, however, can be a matter of luck. Even when it's good, there's not always much of a choice. And I've been lucky to have a variety of sources, even after I lost two of the best over the past year. But it all gets rather tiresome, an...

Re: Rotterdam comfy coffeeshop?

I went to Rotterdam a while back, and there was a definite shortage of comfy places. Out of Time sticks in the memory as a place to have a smoke, but I can't be sure what the seating was like; I think it was chairs at tables, so if your mum can manage a standard café/restaurant setup, she should be ...

Re: Solo

On my latest trip I went for something else at Solo. But I did try the Black Domina hash from Green House (14€), and assuming it's the same, it is indeed something special, both in taste and effect.

Re: Dampkring

I came in here for something soft, black, Asian and different (insert joke here). So I tried the Sapana Phai, a name that I found difficult to remember. A bit of research shows it should be Sapana Bhai, सपना भाई, or 'dream brother'. So now you know, and will forget in five minutes' time. It's very m...

Re: ...will possibly soon be a thing of the past...

The article doesn't mention cannabis, and I suspect that it won't apply for the same reason that Haarlem failed in its bid to ban smoking cannabis in public: the court decided that you can't ban something that's already technically illegal. Paradoxically, it won't be possible to ban it from coffeesh...

New? I don't think it's altered in the past decade. They change cats more often than strains.

It's not the UK. Things are open, public transport runs. Some coffeeshops might be shut, as might be some other establishments, but there'll be enough that aren't.

I looked in to see the renovation and maybe run into Ingi. It was crowded, so I left, thinking I'd come back later, and pick up some Water-Pressed Afghan whether or not she was working late. When I came back, not only wasn't she there but they'd run out of what I wanted, and I was running out of tim...

Re: Voyagers

I visited three times this year. The first time I bought a powerbag, and it was quite nice, with decent buds. The second time it wasn't great, but still acceptable. No powerbags the third time, and neither the weed nor the atmosphere was to my taste, so I left. In the past you could count on a gram ...
