bibleotek library
didnt take any pics of library, but it looks like an art exhibition and they put lots of books in it..
top floor la place
like an up market cafeteria was 6 different types of food from around the world at least and the Cakes were Fu*k YEAH!!
views outside were stunning but its closed off in winter (but might be open when your in town)
there is a piano as you walk in if you can play your welcome to you it
view of nemo from library
artis zoo
had 100s of pictures much bigger than i though and so many different animals and 90% posed when you pointed an camera at them if you got bad blisters maybe not the best idea. and your need tram 14 to flavorpark from side of cam square. this is the same tram needed for hortis i think?
hortis
there are walkways to go through high up as well
lots of greenhouses as well cactus one butterfly one and others (best place for a sneak joint would be behind the greenhouses)
theres a coffeeshop just on the corner as well with tram back to dam outside
there is a wall rack of money off cards in for nearly all museums or attractions at....
accept the zoo..
my fav was Hortis the amazon rainforest giant greenhouses i really liked + its only 7 or 7.5 euros entry fee (im a cheap bastard)

a vote for the butterfly pavilion at the zoo
(I hate zoos - don't like to see animals bored in small cages)
BUT the butterflies were awesome!! made me feel like a little kid! It touches the spirit in an unexpected way.

My route to the zoo, assuming you want to get there by lunchtime and on foot.zootdog wrote:where abouts is the zoo? were staying right by the doors coffee shop if any one can reccomend things close bygromit wrote:go to the zoo
Start out at the doors, coffee and wake & bake.
Head out, cross Singel and go down Nieuwendijk, take a left onto Haringpakkersteeg.
Stop off at Prix D'Ami for an OJ and a toke.
Continue onto Damrak and cross at Oudebrugsteeg and turn right onto Warmoestraat. Take a left down Engekerksteeg, try to walk passed The Old Church without stopping and crossover OudeZijds Voorburgwal via Oudekennisteeg.
Head over Oudezijds Achterburgwal and straight on down Molensteeg turning left onto Zeedijk.
Smoke stop at Hill Street and a tasty milkshake.
Exit from the square down Waterkeringpad and onto Jodenbreestraat.
Hit Bluebird up for more smokes.
Leave via Mr. visserplein and Muiderstraat.
More smokes at Overkant Hortus.
Stumble your way down Plantage Middelaan to the Artis! (Zoo)
You missed it right?
Re: things to do ?
Both the zoo and the botanical gardens have butterflies. The zoo has a pavilion, while Hortus has a butterfly house. So, you can see butterflies and not have to deal with cages animals if you choose Hortus.worldcitizen1723 wrote:a vote for the butterfly pavilion at the zoo

Re: things to do ?
i smoked at all. hortis behind the greenhouses at the zoo on lemur island.nemo at bench opposite to the side with stairs its a bench on its own next to the water(before you enter). i would of smoked on the roof of nemo , but it was packed with lots of school kids.. if theres no one about i dont see the harm, a vape pen would be perfect. the picture of lemur up there ^^^^^^ the pictures is after 5 mins on my second joint they all got curious ended up being surrounded by them. again i think its rude to smoke when there are kids about so always be wary of that..
