@Uncle Ron - They are my memories rather than J's but the real key is the over 700 photos I took. I even shot a few video clips. Most of the time I had a camera strapped around my neck and I was snapping away constantly. It's going through the pictures that jogs my memory to recall where I was.

Willjay, Papi_3city, Macky & Macky's Girls, Madmaxxx, HankMoody, Ftcarer, Smirks, Cisco, Pengaldinho and Spliphy2 - thanks. Day 6 up soon.

Day 6 - Tuesday 21st April 2015

Our day starts slowly, as usual.
We're meeting the crew at Catch 33 so we head in that direction, stopping for breakfast at a cafe by the Hilletjesbrug on the corner of Egelantiersgracht and Tweede Egelantiersdwarsstraat in the Jordaan.

Fast broken, we continue our walk to Catch 33.
Here we find Ftcarer, 1st Born, Papi_3city, Treetop, Macky, Bleak and Fraidofspiders.
Occasional Bowl is missing having apparently been unable to find the shop.

Catch 33

This is my first time here and it seems like a nice place.
The lady in charge is friendly and the lounge area is comfortable and nicely decorated.
As is the way when the ACD Mob descend on a coffeeshop, there is a serious session in progress.
Joints and bongs are flying around all over the place and I'm wrecked within a few minutes of entering.

Ftcarer presents the trophy for 2nd place.
Bleak's camera is busy filming our budtender with the trophy and a beaming smile.
The trophy is then displayed proudly on the bar.

Staggering out of Catch 33 we all head off in different directions, agreeing to meet up later in Rusland.

I'm walking J back to the apartment because she's got a plane to catch today.
We take a short detour via Lucifera and De Supermarkt so I can snap a few quick pictures.

Having waved J off at the bus station, I make my way to Rusland to rejoin the group.

Occasional Bowl is back with us and Gapie also joins Macky, Papi_3city, Bleak and me for this smoke out.

Rusland has changed radically since I was last here.
It looks like they've completely gutted it and built a whole new structure inside.
It's quite smart but, for me, lacks the charm of the old higgledy-piggledy layout.

We're sat at the back.
There's a Volcano for me and Papi has found a bong so we're all happy.
I'm soon blitzed again.

[Looking at the menu pic above I see that it shows a purchase of Banana Looza and Super Lemon Haze. That might be a clue as to what I bought.]

Moving on again we gradually disperse until there's only Occasional Bowl left with me.
After a bit of a tour around we're sat in Paradox having another drink and smoke.
Next we stop by my apartment to put some of our pocketfuls of grass through the Volcano.
Occasional Bowl is staying nearby so he shoots off and I grab some munchies before heading for the next meet at 420 Cafe.

For some reason I decide to leave my camera behind so no pictures for the rest of the day.
[This also means I have no memory joggers so the following is a bit vague.]

A good little group turn up in 420 Cafe.
I present the plaque for Coffeeshop of the Decade that Ftcarer left with me to the budtender.
Without the responsibility of carrying this plaque around I feel a weight lifted.
I can now relax and get on with getting even more stoned.
The shop seems suitably impressed with their award, which is displayed behind the counter.
I thoroughly test that the Volcano is working properly.

After 420 I think we all move to Utopia.
Beyond that I have no idea.
I have a vague memory of bumping into Papi_3city somewhere in town quite late that night.
Who knows where I'd been or was going.
Must've been a messy one!

That tuesday was really messy:D We definitely bumped into each other and started laughing uncontrollably for a fair amount of time. But it's the only memory from this accidental meeting that i have:D And it was somewhere around old Betty Boop, i think. But i can be wrong, who knows;)

Day 7 - Wednesday 22nd April 2015

I meet up with the gang in Siberie.

I've always liked Siberie.
It's a nice chilled place to hang out.
It's making a perfect start to today.

Moving on we find ourselves in Chills & Thrills.

Image
Chills & Thrills

Here a lady offers to give us a demo of their Herborizer.

Image Image
Chills & Thrills - walking beetle grinder

First she loads some buds into the body of a plastic beetle.
At the flick of a switch the beetle walks across the table, shitting out ground weed as it goes.
This has me well entertained!

Image
Chills & Thrills - Herborizer

She then vapes the weed for us.

Image
Chills & Thrills - display

There's an amazing variety of vapourisers these days.
No sign of any of those soldering iron in a jam jar contraptions any more either.

Crossing back across the Singel, we head for Barney's so we can use a Volcano.

The shop on the site has sold very few of these t-shirts so it's good to catch sight of such a rare animal.

Heading further west along Haarlemmerstraat we cross the Prinsengracht, over a bridge we sailed under a couple of days ago.
Here the street name changes to Haarlemmerdijk.

Image
Haarlemmerdijk

In the picture above we're looking towards the Haarlemmerpoort, a grand gateway that once formed the boundary of the city.
Beyond there is that chimney again (see day 4)

We turn left down Binnen Oranjestraat, passing Coffeeshop Relax, and through to the Brouwersgracht, where we emerge next to Coffeeshop 137.

Image
137's Verdamper

Last year 137 had a Volcano but that's now been replaced with a Verdamper.

I guess the smart box makes it a bit more stable and stoner-proof.
The light show is great.

I recognise a guy chilling with his dog in 137, it's the boat captain from 2011!

Next up Tertulia.

We spend a little time in Tertulia and then move to the apartment.

Image
Apartment Volcano

Treetop and Occasional Bowl join me for a Volcano session in the apartment.

Last stop for the day is Eerste Hulp.
Bleak, Gapie, Treetop, Occasional Bowl and me are in the house.
I left the camera in the apartment so I don't have any pictures of this.

Another very very stoned day!

Hi there,
it is 'Het Groene Wout' and I am pretty sure that this is an old style Dutch spelling on what is an old building. The picture is also a clue, the modern spelling would be 'Het Groene Woud' which is 'The Green Wood'
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

@MinnBobber - I love Tertulia too.

@RTnB - Thanks for posting the translation for me.

@Macky - Thanks :)

@ftcarer - To be honest, I was too chilled myself to notice whether the staff were chilled or not
Did meet the captain and his dog from the armada of little boats in 2011 though. 8)

Day 8 - Thursday 23rd April 2015

Between packing and cleaning up the apartment I take a look at the Internet.
There are some 4-20 travelogues on the Forum already.
Looks like everyone had fun so it's all good.
All things must end though and it's time for me to leave the apartment.

Nevertheless, I've still got a bit of time before I need to get to the airport so I'm off to catch up with the ACDers still in town at Katsu.

We're working our way through most of the above by various means, of which the one below is very pretty.

Image
Katsu Verdamper

I'm so pleased to be back in Katsu again.
Last year it seemed cramped and crowded when we passed by but now we have plenty of space.
The new look is nice and I'm glad to see that the curvy magazine rack is still here.

On the wall is a classic poster of a girl with a joint bathed in UV light.
I think I still have an old beaten up copy of that poster at home somewhere.

As we emerge from Katsu into the daylight I'm already ridiculously stoned.
I just have time to join the crew in strolling over to Yo-Yo.

Image
Yo-Yo

It's great to be back in here again.
Yo-Yo is reinstalled inside the building again and probably smarter than ever.

Bleak, Gapie and me are having a mega session with a selection of portable vaporisers.
Intensive consumption continues for this band of hardcore stoners.

And now I really must get to the airport.

Image
1e Hulp, Schiphol branch

I get loads of emails asking where the nearest coffeeshop to the airport is.
This sign might create a false impression, especially as there is one about the smoking area nearby too!

That's it for our 10th year.
Thanks to everyone who came along. It was a blast.
