Day 2: Heading for the Rockies and then Denver
It's 7:00 a.m. We're up having a good breakfast at the hotel. There's breakfast sandwiches, good coffee, berries, yogurt, oatmeal, salmon & cold cuts. Hmmm, good start.
We're heading for Rocky Mountains National Park with our goal the Alpine Visitors Center at about 3700 meters (12,100 feet). The not the highest in the state, but the air is thin enough for me. We're going to take the Trail Ridge Road. It's been open for about ten (10) days and about seven (7) days if you want to be up there at night.

We are about half-way to the top and the rear view mirror looks something like this. Damn, that's a long way down!
Heading back to Denver, it's time for lunch at the Cherry Company in Lyons. Friendly service, the Bison Chili is excellent and the Cherry Pie is to die for. I only wish I had ordered it al a mode.
We've made it to Denver and the hotel. It's time to check out the Euflora Dispensary on the 16th street Mall. Friendly place, let's you take pictures, nice selection of product, convenient to downtown and our hotel. Probably not bargain basement when it comes to price. Hey, I'm on vacation!!
Looking for edibles (Dixie THC infused Elixir) and T-shirts for the fans at home.
Then it's time for some beer at the Yardarm. Lots of choices with my picture representing only a small portion of what's on tap. Need to work of my photo skills!
We are off to Rock Bottom to check out this week's band, Soul School. The band is very good, the girl singers are amazing, and the male lead is R&B strong. Good show! Hard to believe you can see a band this good for free. Well free if you don't count the beers!
Getting late, time for another O.pen discreet session on the way back to the hotel. A couple of Julie's Indica Nutty Bites in the room before bed. Then thoughts of tomorrow's activities in and around Denver just before the lights go out!
