A Good cheap breakfast where you can smoke joints.

Hi folks as you may be aware I'll be in the dam in 4 weeks.

I am staying at NH Amsterdam centre and breakfast is going to cost 50euros for me and the missus, shocking price to pay.

Anyway do any fellow stoners know of any good places where I can get a decent breakfast and where I am able to smoke weed.

Why on earth would you pay 50 euro for a breakfast?? What a rip.

My favourite breakfast spot in the centrum is Broodje Bert over on Singel. About a 5 minute walk from Dam sq...very near "Dutch Flowers". My beautiful wife and I enjoyed breakfasts there in July and recommend it heartily. Expect to pay around 6-8 euro each.....for everything.

Define breakfast?

If all your after is an OJ/Brew and, or, Omlette/Pancakes/Toasties, I'd go to Dampkring on Harlemerstraat before Barney's. Simply because everything is a few euros more at Barney's.

If you are after the full whack ( Fry up and such ) my choice would be Studio 2 right on the Flower market. You can't smoke weed though, but the breakie is first class, and a damn sight cheaper than what yer hotel are after!!

What a rip off paying 50 euros for two, give me a break. I can't believe what i'm about to say but i'd go to McD's before paying that price.

€50 for breakfast for 2 is unreal. It is even half that price on the Damrak. I have eaten their with a group of friends before, not my choice i have to say as i thought even €10-€15 for 1 was pricey, but the food was actually not bad for a fry up...i certainly had worse in England many times before.

why is everything so superexpensive in amsterdam?
last time we where there we went with a mobile house car but the driver had to go home so we stayed 4 more days in amsterdam.

the first day we went to a place in the centre that helped tourist with hotels. the lady was so rude and after we begged her to help us and do her job she got us what she said was the only thing left in amsterdam, an apartment, wasnt that good at all. 95 euros per night.

next night we went to greenhouse effect hotel for 3 nights. first two nights we spended in the room turkish delight. 95euro per night here to.
last night we switched to a smaller room, redman which they charged us 80 euros per night.

I usually go to Barneys uptown for a breakfast , used to be the best pancakes wi bacon egg hash brown all topped of wi maple syrup ! mmm but they have changed the menu now booo

Try Popeye's across from Pink Floyd on Harlemmerstraat. They use to have something called a Happy Breakfast that included a big hit off a bong before they bring out the food. Had an Irish breakfast there, I think, which was pretty good.

i stayed at the Nh amsterdam centre in 2006

the breakfast is decent.. its buffet style.. lots of nice fresh squeezed juices and the usual sausages, bacon, potato's , eggs etc lots of fresh fruit and cereals as well.

its not the nicest buffet i have been to but it wasnt too bad if your not on a budget and looking for something close by your hotel.

my recomendation for breakfast with a joint is definetely barneys..

Have eaten a fry in Barneys twas average looked like a big enough portion but it was on a small shitty plate so turned out to be small. Surprise surprise it was expensive.

By far the best is Le Grotte just before Dampkring and barneys. For 10 euro you get coffee/tea and OJ and a choice of a fry up/pancakes and bacon/ steak breakfast. Serves booze and the waitress is tidy...nice arse! You can smoke yours tits off in there too then visit a few coffeeshops in and about there

Last time frys and pancakes were eaten in stones cafe. Was a decent portion for about 10 euro but it was as cold as Michael Jackson. You could have booze so that was only plus point.

I agree, visited La Grotte back in 2006 and stop by when I'm in town. Kinda cheesy underwater theme but a nice smoker friendly place none the less. In the warmer months they open up the front wall of windows.
