Trip with my little brother

Post by __parky »

Going to amsterdam in January with my little brother (his first time).

He has just turned 20 years old and I'm just wondering if his age will restrict what coffeeshops we can visit?

I see on 1ehulps menu they operate a over 21 policy and I think Dampkring do too?

Does anyone else know other coffeeshops that only allow people over 21?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you. But I do have a theory ;-)

The law says the age limit is 18. So if a business decides to post a "minimum age 21" sign, they probably want to keep the kids out who haven't learned to deal with alcohol and civilization. I would guess that if your brother doesn't behave like a dick (which I assume he won't) you should be fine.

Let us know how it went.

What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.

Enjoy
