New Years

Post by Xenos »

Wife and I had issues planning a Euro Trip for this coming Summer between budgets, plane tickets, and scheduling. Couldnt get anything to work for both of us or our bank account no matter how we tried to set it up.

After debating about it we pulled the trigger on going back to the Dam between Dec 28th and the 4th before heading elsewhere.

Any advice on things to do during that season? Best ways to ring in the New Year? Any towns nearby that are especially lovely during the Holiday season?

You have been posted on the December and January Whos In Town pages.
Scroll down to your month and click it.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop
(your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to
show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

My only advice is to get yourselves in a bar or coffee shop after 11pm on new years eve and GET a seat and stay there...do not celebrate outside because everyone floods back into the bars at twelve ...no room at the inn so to speak.enjoy..dave

Been a while but, since it the date is nearing, I'm starting to plan:
Any suggestions on things to see/do in late December?
Any towns that are a doable train ride that are must-see in the winter? Saw Gouda and Utrecht last go around.
