So, our last trip was only 5 or 6 weeks ago, but, thanks to easyjet delays, we received compensation and as it will be our 10th wedding anniversary in May, it was an easy decision to use that money for a return trip Making it our 4th year in a row.

Will be arriving on the 5th of May (for 2 nights) and staying near oosterpark - which just happens to be near my new favourite shop, het ballonetje . Far too early to be thinking of other places to visit, but will be most likely staying out of the centre - possibly attempting to reach the stud

So Christmas is over and the countdown begins proper - just over 3 months

Hotel is near last years favourite het baloonetje and at the moment, my only plans are to visit the stud, la tertulia and voyagers (maybe solo and noon depending where we are lol)

Still plenty of time for any suggestions.......

Congrats! I've been lucky enough to get compo twice. You should thank the EU as you were compensated due to an EU regulation - EU Regulation 261/2004.

Your wife will like La Tertulia. It is the only CS that my wife will go and sit with me these days. The juice there is prepared with care and very good.

The area of Mr. K and Co. is a fun area for exploring and winding around. Neat little shops are on random streets, like Universe on a Stick for interesting t-shirts. Good, 1 euro ice cream shops, and other eclectic Jordaan shops alongside street-side cafes for a beer (or two).

Thanks LLMReb I'm sure it will be a blast. Was just saying to her earlier it will be weird being there on our own, last 3 visits have been with others. Who knows, may bump into any other ACD'ers for a wee TnT.

The day has almost arrived, over 6 months since booking up, only 1 sleep to go then an early start to be in the dam by 1430hrs local time.

Passports, boarding passes, euros, camera, shades (for camouflage), hat (for the baldy head) and 3 changes of underwear and socks - all ready to go

If all goes to plan, will be hitting voyagers, hoping for a bit of lemon bubble, and rolling a couple for the walk towards oosterpark.

Once checked in to the hotel, het ballonetje will be the 1st proper sit down coffeeshop No point in any more plans after thatas very liable to change - but I have my list of coffeeshops at the ready (also try to visit the cannabis college and museum) and see how it goes.........
