Opinion haven't changed, still think priority is Captain James, wouldn't like to get stuck with the smokeboat and day only 7 or 8 of us to cover it, would be very expensive for a 1 hour ride... Doesn't hurt to ask for options though, so right with you macky... Didn't consider the open boat challenges of Mokum Boat, boaty.nl has a few of theirs covered (lightly though), but they are electrical and quite slow...

Did you already get ahold of and/or confirm with him? I think it should be as follows: 1.) book with James, if too much end up showing up then we cross that bridge when we get there (do two journeys, cancel and do Mokum Boot/Boaty); 2.) Mokum Boot is the go to contingency plan unless the weather is just absolutes shit, in which case if Boaty covered boats will be enough respite from said shitty conditions, then that can be plan-c, but Boaty boats are quite slow, so let's hope we don't have to resort to that.

Hi Lemming, is it possible to organize a spritz aperitif to celebrate my birthday during the boat ride? Alternatively we will celebrate during the evening in Batavia.

I've spoken with another member whose anonymity I need to somewhat protect (somebody that was here last year), however they will be coming for the high holiday, and highly suspect they would hope to join in on this. Note, this is outside of the twelve currently accounted for.

As far as we can understand it's BYOB, so as long as you (or someone else) brings the components its "spritz away!" :D :D :D

BYOB what is this!?! I needed wikipedia ... However, if you can do BYOB in a boat, we will take care of the ingredients, you will have to find a lot of ice cubes! :D

Perhaps with Capt. James excursion booked, if interest continues to spike, and in the end all cannot be accommodated, we could plan a second outing on the Mokum Boots weather permitting. Honestly, weather-permitting I'd be down to do a boat fleet one of the other weekend days (Friday or Sunday) just for the fuck of it, it's a great little excursion. Anybody else down to add a second tentative (self-piloted fleet) boat outing to the itinerary?
