With everything opening up with no restrictions, I have decided to book a trip to magical Amsterdam. Haven’t been since 2019 so went crazy and got a balcony room at doubletree. Coming from USA in 2 weeks!

Genius idea with the Doubletree room. Even if you do have to 'quarantine' a West(ish) facing balcony room in Amsterdam is the way to do it

Nice 1 buddy , got to have a balcony these day, especially if you have not got a smoking apartment. There are a few hotels in town with balconies that i have been using for a good few years now ranging from no stars to 5 stars. I normally try to get a smoking apartment these days but they are becoming a little harder to find for a good price.

For the coffeeshops, there have been reviews added recently in the coffeeshop reviews forum. Seems places are open.

All the coffeeshops are open but have to close at midnight. Not any of them have a line to wait and have open seating. Everything is pretty normal here if you don’t watch the news! The streets are filling up more and more everyday. Buts it’s not nearly as busy pre-corona.
