Prices have skyrocketed over the last couple of years. I'd recommend using the Trivago site for price comparison.

The greenhouse effect are cheap enough. Worth a look perhaps.

Camping Zeeburg have ecocabins and wagonettes, and isn't bad. No TV, at least a couple of years ago, but very good wifi.

They only do the eco-cabins in winter, which are quite warm via some ingenious method of grass roof and underfloor heating. Trust me, I'm a wuss, although there was a hardy Irishman actually camping in a tent in November when I was there. You do have to walk to a shower block, so probably best to wear more than a towel and flip-flops.

Check priceline nyop. Was able to make a few bargains this way. Also in Amsterdam business hotels are quite cheap in summer season, whereas your typical tourit hotel rates will rise during that time. Krasnapolsky in July is only 150€ if you look around a bit for example, there normal rates are more around 300€. Same goes for cheaper hotels.

I can recommend the Artemis Hotel. It is a 4 Star business Hotel, with comfy rooms. Disadvantage is, it is a bit off track. The tram station is next to the hotel and the tram takes about 25 Minutes to get to the city centre. You can score a Double in Artemis for 50€ pretty much all the time though.Check hrsdeals.de they usually have it in sale.
