Just an idea...I know this may be difficult or tedious to get info but Lemming could you put some info on time of closure for the shops that are no longer in business even if only down to the year?
(Helps with memory and knowledge of Mokum!)

And maybe a directory page of all closed CS rather than trying to check through ones that are now different businesses within the districts?

Can't remember if there is still an active link to the old ACD map or not on the site..but I did try looking but maybe someone can steer me in the right direction?

Yeah, this idea had crossed my mind a few times. I've been collecting and publishing the dates that shops first opened for years. After lots of shops had closed I realised that it would be good to have a closure date as well but, as I hadn't been collecting that data, it meant starting from scratch.

To be honest, this is just one of many projects I have in the back of my mind but time is not unlimited and I'm more inclined to the more positive area of open shops rather than closed ones. Also, as a stoner, I frequently get distracted from one project to another.

Probably the majority of closed shops in the database I don't know when they closed and a few may never have existed in the first place. If you have any info on this and would like to help then I can produce a list of closed shops from the database quite easily. If you can put dates on some of them then I could put that data back in the database.

Regarding old maps, I did upload the very first ACD, including its map, onto the 'Net some years ago. I think it's still there. Search out the 10th birthday of the ACD on here and you might find it.

@Lemming yeah totally understand it isn't the most urgent or positive of projects for the site.

I'll see what I can get in terms of dates and compile a rough list.. Maybe some Mokum ACD locals can assist in this quest??

Im not very familiar with anything shopwise dating pre 2009/2010 anyway..but I also can't remember what has now gone and turned into bars etc unless it's obvious like say Hunters, Hill Street Blues or The Freeworld for example.
