I'm a Dam fan. Try to be a damned good one. My first trip was in 03, but I've gone each year since 06, and I eagerly await my next trip in February.
I've stayed at the same hostel 3 times now, and have made friends with much of the staff of the Bulldog. It's a fun crew. I'll probably keep going unless I have a nightmare experience there, which seems highly unlikely.
I like to score at Willie's in Haalem, but my favorite smoking spot is upstairs at Abraxas. Super comfortable deep couches, nice decor. Easy walk from my hotel.
In addition to the finest cannabis, I love Amsterdam for it's music, art, and culture. The Van Gough, Botanic Garden, Concertgebouw and Olde Kirke (organ
recital) are all particularly wonderful when coupled with cannabis.One day, I hope to visit during the cup to see what the hubbub is all about, it's hard for me to imagine that it is possible for me to enjoy Amsterdam any more than I already do.
