Manneken Pis gets my vote. On the chutzpah of its branding alone. Mind you - as tourist traps: they’re both shite obviously.

Only tried vlemincks, very good for me, block away from Dampkring if you want. Fries are pretty special at The Beef Chief, burgers tooooo !

Agreed with CM that Vleminckx de Sausmeester has the best fries of the "hole in the wall shops" and the convenient location close to dampkring means that you can pop by to see if there is a big line and hop right over to dk for a fatty and wait it out if the line is too long... :D You can even do The "golden double, and complete the "best in town" munchie-killers mini-crawl and walk over to tweedle kamer, get a coffee (some of the best 8n town), some nice hash and window seat looking into the street and checking when the line for van stapele koekmakerij is short enough for you to pop next door for an unbeatable 🍪 for your "apres frites" :D

Indeed, most delicious friet they've got! Yummy!!!
And that's how really nice, stylish and cosy this outstanding frietwinkel looked over there during kerstijd (xmas time) last year early december... Very unique and "speciaal"!
Been loving it... :D

Found this great, precious NL guide for all of us passionate frites-lovers...
https://www.smulgids.nl/
Not sure whether been created by the "Vereniging Professionele Frituurders (ProFri)"...
But it's a valuable "consumentengids voor frituurspeciaalzaken die een omweg waard zijn" ("consumers guide to lunch rooms being worth >going the long way round< to get to them").
Make best use of the interactive NL map on the 'De Digitale Smulgids':
