If you think you know public transport, you don't

And they won't tell you about it. There is supposed to be a summary here: https://en.gvb.nl/reizen/nieuwe-tijden/ ... ijzigingen. But it's not very well laid out: for example, if you were wondering about the 12, which used to run between Amstel Station and Sloterdijk, it tells you The route from Amstel Station to the De Pijp remains unchanged. Starting at the Pijp, tram 12 runs via the Van Baerlestraat, Museumkwartier, Leidseplein, Leidsestraat, and NZ Voorburgwal to Central Station. The important bit – that it no longer runs to Sloterdijk, and you have to take the previously obscure 19 to get there, is left out. For that matter, there's no mention of the 19 at all on that page. So check before you go anywhere. This all happened last month, and at this point in time the usually reliable drivers are still a bit confused about what goes where.

Tram 16 seems to have disappeared, too!! 24 has a similar route, but they differ when they hit De Pijp... Guessing 24 is going to be far more crammed in future. :(
