but i defy any one not to rock their head back and forth to this.... up loud, the deep bass is just infectious...

Is it really? I own both those tunes, and the rankin dread one sounds like a studio remix of linvals original. It even has linvals voice singing the chorus on the track.

Linval produced a few albums for ranking dread, both came out in 78 (I think) so that doesn't help with whose is the original. I had a dig about and found this http://www.roots-archives.com/release/3736 that has both linvals versions before the dread one, so it's probably his tune and dreads is a version.

and now I'm gonna have to buy the boxset
£9 bargain
