Grateful Dead - Sing Me Back Home ( June 21, 1971 )

Strange show, the Dead were invited to stay at a chataue in France and play a few shows.
Ended up the rain canceled most of the shows, but on this night they did a free show on the grounds by the pool.
Played basicly to a hundred locals who showed up, most of who had never heard of the Dead.

The Dead were fully locked in for this 3 night run to Alpine, luckily for us sparkling SBDs and crisp pro shot video were taken of each night.

Always loved that Dew, the solo and vocal tirade starts around the 4:15 mark gives me chills every time.
Great story about Jerry finding out Bonnie Dobson ( she wrote the song in 62 ) was at the show and inviting her back stage, but she was too nervous and left after the Dew closer.

Alpine China-Rider ( take a look at how baked Brent and Jerry are, they really lock in and play off each other in a huge way ).

New band i've got into recently; "The War On Drugs".
They have a new album out called Slave Ambient that i can not stop listening to, it is getting rave reviews and is already on alot of lists for album of the year.
Sounds to me like Tom Petty playing with Radiohead .
