Post by kingbee » Sun 11th Nov 2018 05:01 pm

Hi all,

I am going to be travelling around the Netherlands again in the near future, and would like to visit any of the Best coffeeshops Outside of the Dam, that I have not been to so far..(that don't currently have the Wietpas..)
With that in mind, here is a list of the Best 'shops that I've been to outside the capital up to now: please feel free to add any others that are your favourite or that you think really should be visited..!! Cheers!!

Groningen - Taverne Oasis
Haarlem - the Willie Wortel 'shops
Utrecht - VIP Shop
Enschede - Black Sea
Arnhem - THC coffeeshop
Nijmegen - Kruidentuin

Not been, but heard is good: Zandvoort - Yanks

I'm hoping to hit Den Haag in May/Jun, will post a CS few reviews. Much else to do there that you'd recommend?

The Escher Museum is obligatory for stoners, I believe.

Thanks! I believe Willjay referenced that as well in some other thread when Den Haag when mentioned, so will be sure to check it out given it's got multiple recommendations now :D

No disrespect, but WW is not in the same class as Birdy's in Haarlem. WW shops are good, but Birdy's is special.

What I didn't like about Birdy's was that their Jelly hash at €10 for 0.4g was a big let down, and that they allowed cigarettes to be smoked openly in there, including the bar woman, if I recall correctly. It wasn't busy at the time I visited (mid-afternoon), but with 3-4 people smoking cigarettes, and not even spliffs, just strong cigarettes, stood around near the bar chatting with the bar woman, my stay in there lasted about 5-10 minutes (just enough time to sit down, start rolling a pure joint, then the cigarettes starting getting lit and I left shortly after).
Then upon smoking the Jelly hash later, it seemed adulterated with cooking oil or something, and smoked poorly/harshly giving a dull and unimpressive high, especially when priced at €25/g!!
