Tweedy coffeeshop

Is there many people used this CS before? I noticed 1 or 2 have from reading thru the threads...

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know what time they are open til in the evening? We won't get to our hotel until about 10pm, and Tweedy is right around the corner so i'm hoping we can give them some custom as I don't want to be stoating around in the dark on our first night trying to find somewhere for a smoke

I can't help you with Tweedy's opening hours I'm afraid. But, if it's the nearest coffeeshop to your hotel then you must be staying just to the south of Leidseplein.
There are numerous coffeeshops within easy walking distance of Leidseplein, and therefore your hotel, including The Dolphins, The Rookies and de Rokerij, amongst others. All these coffeeshops are open until 1am. Plenty of time for you to get some smoking in before bed-time.

There are a few other c/s on overtoom, have to admit, tweedy wasn't particularly welcoming. Nothing major, just a vibe. Others may have felt different, i know darkglobe dropped in before xmas. The suggestions above (rookies etc.) are close enough and you ain't too far from the pijp and all it's treasures. See the old south area in the ACD directory. Enjoy glas.

I'm thinking we will be ready to eat by the time we get to the hotel, etc and the area around Rokerij has some of those nice Argie steakhouses if I remember right? Probably best we just kill 2 birds with one stone and head straight up to this area once we're booked in to the hotel

Thanks Twitch, we arrive on Thursday night (2 days

) and our flight doesn't get in to Schiphol until 7:50pm if it's on time, so I'm kinda worried that Tweedy will be closed before we get there

I don't want to waste too much time looking around, and since we're deffo gonna be looking for some food by then, i'm thinking we will be better off heading up to the Leidseplein area where I know for sure I can get both at that late hour.

I'll definitely be trying Tweedy at some point tho, probably head there to start the day with a coffee and a nice blunt

Looks like they're open till 0100 every morning so shouldn't be a problem.

We are talking about two different shops i think twitch. Tweedy is just off vondelpark, small dark place, mainly n.african locals. personally, i'd rather part with cash at 2e kamer, like yerself.

Yeah sorry Twitch, I didn't see the link when I first replied so assumed you were talking about Tweedy, rather than Tweede Kamer

I guess all of the comments just made my mind up - Rookies or Rokerij it is, then along to Walk to Wok

You could walk to Tweede Kamer from Leidseplein in ten minutes.

I read some of the reviews for the Rokerij (which I had always believed to be a well-thought of place) and they weren't that great

Any thoughts on either/both yourself, Mr Pirate

Ya know, I didn't realise it was so close. It looks like TK is probably the best CS that's a short walk from the Leidseplein, so we might just grab those noodles and talk a slow walk up
