Contaminated / sprayed weed in the NL - it affects EVERYONE

Post by Pennyroyal Water »

After getting badly contaminated (brix or whatever) weed from where I live AND in some CS close to the german border like Geleen and Nijmegen I didn´t expect getting this kind of shit in the Dam. But I was wrong - CS Hunters sold sprayed NYCD to me in Dec 2010!!!

I was so disappointed by getting contaminated weed in smokers paradise. Fortunately it was the only (obvious) dirty weed I bought this time, BUT... I found this website from the "german hemp society" - till now they record over 1.700 examples of contaminated weed in just 1 1/2 years. A lot of them found in the NL ( http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... lwarnungen ).

Have a look at those examples from Amsterdam:

http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... _1726.html

http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... _1639.html

http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... g_321.html

http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... g_231.html

Has someone of you make similar experiences with contaminated weed in coffeeshops?
Is this shit taking over or are they selling this f***ing shit only to the tourists???

I'd love to read hunters reply to this....

I'm pretty sure the diesel from hunters is one of it's most popular strains (according to the travelogues section). Any one else try it in December? And care to add to this persons opinion?

And for the record, I've never come across contam in the dam before.

Of course theres contaminated weed in Amsterdam just like there is everywhere else, the profit margins are too high for people not to do it, the only thing I can say is everyone needs to be aware and look closely at whatever they buy, if the coffeeshop you're in has a microscope use it.

Sound advice Boner, I usually take my little 30x with me any way - I like to have a little peek at good stuff, it's like another world in there :)

It's a big thing in uk. Sand, glass, and shit like that I've heard, I've Also heard it's the stuff they seal the paint for yellow road markings with! Brix is summink ya spray on I think while growing. It's sposed ta be some miracle yield enhancer but apparently just coats some shit on your bud.

It's been here a good 8 years I'd say now. And if people keep buying it, people will keep doin it!!! Grow your own!!!

Ah and I must point out I come across this crap daily in London, but have NEVER EVER come across it in the dam! Letalone in hunters!!!

I bought some in December, and if you ignore the fact that the budtender upselled it to 1.6g and that what I got was definitely 1.1g of shake I was happy with the weed

Hey all. My wife and I were in the Dam last Sept. and while we were eating lunch in Barney's, a local expat sat next to us and we started chatting it up. He was an awesome guy and lived in the Dam for awhile now. I was hesitant at first to trust anyone, but once he started talking with the some of the workers he was friends with, I knew he was legit.

We talked about all things Dam then we got onto talking about coffeeshops. He told us to be careful where we buy because just about EVERY coffeeshop sprays. He even said he wouldn't buy from Barney's (where he was eating lunch) and that kinda sketched me out. He gave a few names of some shops that were clean and the only "popular" one he mentioned in the list was Dampkring.

Take it for what its worth, just wanted to share my experience.

^^doesnt sound too far off for me.

90% of utrecht cs stuff appeared to be sprayed end of last year. SHITLOADS of garbage weed in amsterdam, too.

there is no government institution that checks the weed, so coffeeshops are free to sell anything.

I also call bullshit. I've been sampling much of Amsterdam's offerings for some time now and doing reviews about them. I have had my fair share of badly flushed (or not at all) weed, prematurely cut weed, too dry weed, too wet weed and so on. I have yet to discover a "sprayed" variety now. This fearmongering seems to be recurring in this forum. Unless you are willing to provide some valid evidence of your claims they are totally bogus...

I've heard that smoking "sprayed weed" has been attributed to low sperm counts in mice...
