can anyone confirm that in Hoofddorp, as of July 1st, the wietpas is active?
Thanks
from facebookAmsterdam Seedbank © Dordrecht and Hoofddorp are also added to the weed pass Area.
I don't pretend to know more then anyone else. I still have hope but it is fading. The elections could make a difference if the SP(Socialist Party) gets the majority and is able to form a left wing coalition. It may not happen. No one knows what is going on behind the scene. It seems that some conservative mayors are trying to eliminate coffeeshops in their area by any way possible. They are using the weed pass as a tool to do that. There is actually no weed pass. So far they are only checking IDs and a few shops south of the rivers are being forced to record their customers. Personally, I am going to some of those villages with my Dutch partner to test these issues. Will they let her in and not me? If so I will have a 10 gram joint to light up just outside the front door. Maybe they like that better then me sitting inside and not bothering anyone. I can't wait.Quazer wrote:Ok... lets say the next elected gov. in Holland is going to be more towards left wing... will laws change back again? I hardly doubt it, but I would love it to be proven wrong in a few years. Milehigh, have you lost the hope for Amsterdam yet?
Thanks milehigh! Sadly none of us has inside sources within the circles of the Dutch political parties. Crazy theory: Hopefully the SP members won't be bribed by whoever is trying to control the international drug market. But shitty theories aside, the facts you mentioned are arlarming enough. Still I have a spark of hope left. Otherwise I will be in 'non comply mode' when it comes to the weed pass just as yourself.milehigh wrote:I don't pretend to know more then anyone else. What does your friend in Hoofddorp say? It is less then 5 kilometer from Amsterdam. I appreciate your optimism. Unfortunately the local mayors and shops won't have much to say about it. Do you know how many shops have closed completely already because of the weed pass? So, if it goes away do you think they will re-open with the bebop laws being what they are? Did I say I appreciate your optimism? There are more questions then answers at the moment and I wouldn't put to much stock into FB chat.Adamster wrote:i was in a chat yesterday about this on FB..whit me friend in the north part of holland...

For residents of this area it has, so far, been an unpleasant but distant threat confined to the southern provinces but suddenly it has reared its ugly head in the heart of Holland, the town of Hoofddorp lies between Haarlem, Amsterdam and Schiphol airport.
But hey it won't happen in Amsterdam(sic).
