RELAXED COFFEESHOP RECCOMMENDATIONS

Post by petty »

As a light, mature smoker would appreciate some coffeeshop reccomendations for an upcoming trip, inclusive of Dam and Haarlem. The ones I already favour are Yoyo and Siberie for ambience. Other reviews to catch my eye are Mr.K and Het Gelderse. Will visit the dunes area park at Overveen by train so may stop off in Haarlem on the way back to Amsterdam. Am a retired person whose daily hobby is walking so distance walking is not a problem and a former touring cyclist with experience of Netherlands trips. With regard to light smoking, which shops offer the possibility of purchasing half gram deals? Finally intend to revisit Kadinsky on Rosmarijnsteg. My trip is 21st to 25th October.

Last time I was there (Jan 2017) I mainly bought €5 deals in Paradox and La Tertulia. After going through most of the menus posted online around that time (http://www.coffeeshopmenus.org/CoffeeshopMenus.htm) I could only find these two and Yo Yo that did so. I was told that other places might if you ask. Let us know if you find any others when you are there...

All the suspects I'd list have been mentioned already:

Paradox, Yoyo, Mr. K and perhaps indeed Siberië if it isn't too busy.

You have been posted on the October Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute. There is one on the 24th.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop
(your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to
show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Would deffo add Het Ballonnetje to the list of relaxed shops, and ofc you won't find a more consistent shop wrt quality over the last years so that's a plus (even for light smoker's we'd recommend the high quality, just smoke less). Also great coffee, nice locals and a great staff, with a great location a bit out of the hustle of the center but easily reached on foot or bike...
Always know where your towel is! :wtf:
