Defo mate I'm quite lucky as one of my mates is a professional athlete (Scottish back hold wrestler) in the Scottish team , so he's made me up a fitness programme . I was struggling at first but now I'm more or less doing every exercise and rep , it's took a while but that's progress

On the alcohol front , Iv never been a big drinker anyway for the last 10yrs or so , but I have been socialising more lately , so alcohol in moderation lol a wee vodka with OJ or Slimline tonic , apparently straight vodka is the best thing to drink if anything !? Lol

But yeah in moderation a wee drink can be enjoyed while in training

Its all sugar and calories....but tbh...like Cisco, i am not a drinker on a daily or really weekly basis...just social scenes where it is expected. Used to be a heavy drinker back in aday, but discovered most or all of my wprst decisions were on the back end of a bottle...then i discovered mary jane and things corrected themselves.

Cisco, so true, i remember the pain and struggle that the first few weeks were when first starting...now i love the gym....and my daily stretches are the best part of my day.

YAY!!!

a giant "FABULOUS!" to everyone who's doing it!

this is what i do for a living (my steady paycheck anyways...lol...)

here are a couple of truths i've discovered in my years:

*we are all great at dieting
*we are all great at over-indulging
*when we are done dieting, we over-indulge
*when we are done over-indulging, we diet

Guess where goal weight is? It is neither dieting nor over-indulging...it is in the middle

We shouldn't "diet" ...we should learn to eat nutritiously...and we certainly shouldn't abstain completely...because that leads to binge eating later...maybe months later...but in most cases, it happens...I see it daily

Learn to eat the foods that are problematic... ...eating them mindfully and portion-controlled...is the key. Otherwise, we are back where we started.

Learn skills to maintain your weight as you lose it...it is the missing link. It is why most people gain it back.

HOW will you keep it off?

Know this: What you do to take off the weight is what you have to do to keep it off. FOREVER.

Are you willing? Forever is a looooooooooooooong time......... just sayin'...

Do what you need to get the kick start...but I strongly suggest adopting/adapting a healthy, nutritious way of eating!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK...WEIGHT LOSS IS ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO "UP" THAT HEALTH!!!!! (and completely within your own control)
