het - the, het is also an anagram of 'the'. I find that odd.

lucifer - match, as in flame producing device

onderzees - submarine

There's a WWII-era submarine on display where I live, and painted on the side among the battle awards is a martini glass and O-19. Discovered that the USS Cod had rescued the crew of Dutch submarine O-19 from having run aground on a reef. Upon return, the Dutch crew must have thrown quite the thank you party.

leuk - pretty, nice. you will hear this one quite often. probably with a 'heel' in front which means 'very'.
