I can't honestly remember but I think the default is probably the station you are at, dont worry though they are real easy to work.TheGinSoakedGirl wrote:Thanks for the links pretty easy to work out. Do the real machines automatically default to Rotterdam like the demo or am I having a blonde moment?Boner wrote:If you go here - http://webdemo.ns.nl/e2000.html then click the language of choice (English, German, French or Dutch) this shows you how to use the machine.

the problem is that the most of the machines only allow coins... yes you heard right only coins!!! so buy a ticket for 30€ is hard^^ if you buy it on the service points it cost only 50 cent... not the world
ps there is a button for english language on the ticket machine... but it was not easy to find... it was either up or below on the touchscreen...
sry for my bad english^^ I hope you can understand it

There is a machine in the ticket office section that changes 5 and 10 Euro notes to change so that you can use the ticket machines
Re: Maestro
I would say that I have tried to use both my Visa and Mastercard at these ticket machines, and have not been able to use them.. the same goes for any restaurant or shop taking these cards.. all because 'maestro' is not on the cards.. so when you travel, be wary of this.beejun wrote:Yes man!ncdave59 wrote:Is Maestro the European MasterCard? The way around it, is to go to an ATM and withdraw the cash using either one of those cards, and just use cash everywhere..

If you can’t read and speak Dutch language, so don’t worry about it, because now the world is growing very fastly. There are a number of language translators available online and offline in pdf and in some other platform. You can easily make uses of these. Thanks.
