They are glueless ,no idea this will be a 20 billion dollar industry.
In the end private shop,s with a group of micro grower,s will be the winner,s
As it has been and will be 40percent Of the people will consume 80% of the product .
Only the best grower,s will survive. The goverment priced premium hydro 300 dollars or more an oz.
Making sure black market will keep going (insuring cops can keep chasing non violent grower,s,real criminals shoot back)
The shops will be open April first ,just in time for....Roll on 420

Interestingly my friend Karen who many of you know from 420 boat a few years back and invited a bunch of ACDers this summer for dinner 8) TC you would of met at skeet shoot,
Any way she ordered from online first night has not seen anything yet.
After finally getting through on phone (after days trying ) They told she was very first order at 1201 seconds, and they told her they could not believe she did not receive yet. After checking they told her it was in warehouse and should have notification email of delivery in couple days
She then proceeded to unload on them and said she would be writing a letter to the editor......

Its just the biggest joke. Any weed not in an LP container is considered "black market" now. So technically, until the Government ships you some cannabis, you can't "legally" get high. WTF you guys suck hahah

Macky you are so right. most will continue to buy off black market. the sad thing, the shops will be supplied by the Ontario gov, which will act as the sole wholesaler in the province. a middle man between the LPs and the shops... that's the biggest fucking joke.

4 plants per house, we are not far off from a new garden...except we can't buy legal seeds because the Gov isn't sellling them yet. but you can buy a bong lol.

retail cannabis is a novelty for thousands, but Macky is right, the majority of smoke will go the minority of mass consumers.

I ordered in first 45 mins of legalization to see how it would work... it's day 11 now, and not even a shipping email. the horror stories are true, my friend was order 120,XXX and he got his in 2 days, i'm order 13,XXX and nothing.

Not mad, just entertained by the meltdowns pot smokers are having on reddit...i thought the cannabis community was more chilled.

although, take the easiest access point and shut it down in favour of a clown show was the wrong play, they set themselves up for failure, and knocked it through the goal posts.

They said you had to buy seeds from them for medical too, never happened :D
Just get grown  This will make packaging irrelevant soon, with 23,000 of us running around with the right to grow under larrard ruling (where aloud to carry 150g ).plus medical user,s in new program over 5000 now . I imagine we will be in court fighting these Puritan twats again over some stupid rules (growing pains).
I think if your coming from across pond Newfoundland and Nova Scotia should be your spot.
Once Ontario let’s the grower,s sell from where growing (There aloud one license to sell in own private store)
This I believe will allow us to really figure out who can grow and who,s going under :|
There,s like 20 grower,s with in one hour drive of my home some indoor and some greenhouse, think this will be fun trying them all . Get a bus start canna business......

Half of cannabis stores closed in New Brunswick

Half of Cannabis NB stores were closed across the province Monday as the company dealt with supply problems.

Cannabis NB confirms 10 of its 20 stores couldn't open because of pot shortage

Ten of New Brunswick's 20 cannabis stores were closed Monday as the province grappled with marijuana shortages, not even three weeks after the product was made legal in Canada.

Cannabis NB, the Crown corporation in charge of selling cannabis, said it has only received a small fraction of the marijuana it ordered from producers.

"We had made an initial order of enough products to last us a few weeks, but we only received about 20 per cent of that," said spokesperson Marie-Andrée Bolduc.

"We're just playing a bit of catchup."

Bolduc said producers across the country were facing challenges to meet with Health Canada requirements in terms of packaging and other regulations, slowing down production.

In Quebec, for instance, province-run stores had to close three days a week to deal with shortages.

New Brunswick's store closures were expected to last from a few hours to a few days.

The online site also listed several products as out of stock, including pre-rolled joints, oils and some varieties of the dried product.

"We're receiving shipments today, tomorrow and this week," said Bolduc. "We'll be able to open up as soon as we have a variety of products available.

"This is not an ideal situation. However, the store closures are temporary. This is a brand new industry."

The locations closed as of Monday were:

Fredericton,

Woodside Lane.

Brookside Drive,

Moncton,

Wyse Street.

Main Street.

Saint John,

Lansdowne Avenue.

Oromocto.

Bathurst.

Miramichi.

Campbellton.

Edmundston.

Maybe Ontario is the second worst pot dealer ever....

Ontario Cannabis Store Reports Major Customer Privacy Breach

The data breach impacts customers who ordered weed through the Ontario Cannabis Store’s online portal, the only legal source of retail cannabis in the province.

The names, shipping addresses, and order dates of more than 4,500 Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) customers were exposed after an unauthorized individual accessed the database of the Canada Post postal service on November 1. The next day, the CEO of the Ontario Cannabis Retail Corporation sent a letter to the head of Canada Post demanding the government agency inform the affected customers. But word about the privacy breach only went out to customers on Wednesday, six days later. Now, Canadian officials are saying that the vulnerability that led to the November 1 data breach is a system-wide issue affecting Canada Post’s entire delivery tracking system.

Privacy Breach Exposes 4,500 Cannabis Customers’ Purchase Data

On October 17, Canada became just the second country in the world to legalize cannabis for adult use. But a patchwork of provincial regulations has led to the uneven implementation of legal retail industries. In Ontario, for example, retail storefronts are on hold until next year. For now, the only legal way to purchase cannabis is through the Ontario Cannabis Store‘s online portal. The task of delivering cannabis products to customers falls to the Canada Post.

But Canada Post’s own online package tracking system has a massive privacy vulnerability that can be easily manipulated to expose any customer’s data, not just OCS customers. However, the Nov. 1 breach seems to have only affected the data of about 4,500 OCS customers, according to the Toronto Sun. Speaking with the press about the breach, Patrick Ford, president and CEO of the Ontario Cannabis Retail Corporation, stressed the seriousness of the privacy breach. “The OCS is extremely concerned about the compromising of OCS customer data accessed through the Canada Post online tracking tool,” Ford said. “We cannot stress enough the seriousness of this matter and the grave concern that this has created for the OCS and its customers.”

Who Accessed Cannabis Customer Data and What Did They Do With It?

The Canada Post says that its internal investigation revealed that one individual was able to access the data of 4,500 OCS customers. Apparently, the individual used OCS reference numbers that track cannabis purchases as well as Canada Post tracking numbers. The manipulation of both data points allowed the individual to access delivery information from about 4,500 cannabis customer orders.

On November 7, Canada Post sent an email to all of the affected OCS customers. The email assured recipients that the individual who accessed their private data only shared it with Canada Post. According to Canada Post officials, the breach exposed limited delivery data. The personal financial information of OCS customers was not accessed during the breach.

Still, the data breach, even if largely inconsequential, is a major concern for cannabis customers’ privacy. Despite legalization, taboo still surrounds cannabis use. People can still face sanctions or consequences in their workplace for using cannabis, even legally. Indeed, privacy breaches such as this create a range of risks for customers and Canada Post workers alike.

For their part, the OCS is demanding Canada Post overhaul its system to address the major security flaw. And until they do, OCS has pulled all order reference numbers from the tracking data it submits to Canada Post. Both the OCS and Canada Post have informed the Ontario Privacy Commission about the breach. And all three parties are working together to address the issue and protect customer data going forward.

I found the legal rec smoke is dry from sitting around too long. still haven't got my day one order on Oct 17... lol

I get from Redecan and Cannafarms for my med RX, also available on rec menus. CF is AAAA across the board, and the cannabliss 14% CBD is amazing for me. Pink kush is good too. Tangerine dream by barneys is top shelf from CF.

Redecan prices are great and skilled growers. Wappa is top shelf, great nighttime relaxer. will say their white widow was dry, dumped her into jar with a couple boveda's. hasn't really come back, but it is a sticky dry and smokes surprising good.

the preroll selections are waaaaay overpriced for 1/2 gram and 1 gram rolls. example, a $10/gram strain is -/+ $15 in a preroll.
