Greenhouse Effect (formerly Hill Street at the Market)

Post by T MON€Y »

ACD page: Greenhouse Effect (formerly Hill Street at the Market)

This a place I seen on a stoned ramble of the Red Light District And took a note of. I've been over a few times since, but have continually forgot to check it out. It looks really cool. I saw photo's on their website which jogged my memory.

Yes, I'm a fan of the original Hill street Blues on Warmoesstraat, however this place would appeal to those who aren't really bothered about drinking beer and looks like the complete opposite, more of a classy joint!

Has anyone been there or even know the opening times? Its on my 'To Visit' list unless anyone has some bad experiences there!

Located directly at the New Market it's nice to sit outside on a bench and watch live pass with a pre-rolled joint (3.5€) in your hand.

Good place to buy weed and hang out....very big coffeeshop, but you can't tell by walking past it. The dealer was very nice and helpful. Prices were good, and the quality was excellent (the Hill Street Special). They have some comfortable leather couches that are in a good layout for a bigger group to chill and smoke. Good view of the canal and the city from the couches, too. This coffeeshop was definitely more of an Irish/English/American stop, but it was fun. I recommend it!

This was a local shop on our last visit as it was only 30 seconds from the apartment.

Can't really recommend the weed but the shop itself is really cool. The staff are friendly and the shop has views of the Neuwmarkt so it's a good people watching spot.

Really nice seating area towards the back with sofas and beanbags.

Would certainly visit again.

Went in Hill St. Blues @ The Market for the 1st time on Tuesday February 21 2006. This for me was the best of the 4 new coffeeshops I visited on this trip; the comfort factor is extremely high, the place reminds me of a posh living room more than a place where smokers go!

Great menu (same as Hill St. on Warmostraat), friendly dealer, quiet & peaceful (at least it was when I was there), & a place I could just spend hours in chilling. Brilliant, already one of my overall favourites

ok, thx for the info. do you remember any prices? not exactly, but how much e.g. for the white widow, because i am still searching for a shop where we can buy 1gr. of very good white widow, like the one i had a year ago in Sittard in the "Relax" coffeeshop.
