Bummer at Barneys! Went in to Barney's Coffee Shp last Thursday after an hour at Barneys Uptown. It was about 7:45 P.M. and wanted to buy something good for the evening.
Went up to the available person behind the counter, a bald younger man, and ordered 3 grams of Dr. Grinspoon which is one of the most expensive at 17 Euro per gram.
As the dealer is putting the weed into a bag I notice he has two fingers inside of the weighing tray. After putting the product into the bag he put the weighing tray quickly back under the counter but as he did I noticed there was still some green in the tray.
I said "hey, there is still some left in the tray", he said "what", I said "there is still some left in the tray" so he pulled it back out from under the counter and sure enough there was about 1/2 gram still in there. The dealer says "it must have stuck to the weighing tray" I said "I'm old, not stupid"
I know I should have gone up to the manager and said something but I was a bit hot under the collar at that point. It would have been my word against his but if the manager would check the video he or she would see this person ripping off their clients. If the dealer would do thatto the clients then he is probably stealing from them also and giving the shop a bad reputation just before the Cannabis Cup for this year.

So the moral of the story is always watch the house dealer wherever you buy. I don't go to shops that have pre-weighed portions and from now on I will watch the dealer weighing the product wherever I go.

A couple of other tricks dishonest dealers could use are: Not zeroing the scale before weighing your product or putting a piece of hash on the bottom of the weighing tray.

On the good side I have found many honest dealers particularly at the Noon and Mellow Yellow. These guys are great.

If not, then it's their mistake. I will never go back to Barney's! They suck ass!!! It's not like they dont make enough money with their over priced weed. Fuck Barney's!!!

Just wanted to follow up on my experience at Barneys. I went in to visit a friend a week after the incident at Barneys Uptown. Related my problem with the dealer at Barneys to him and he said "the owner is sitting three stools down". My friend went to the owner and soon I was talking with Deery. I related my story with all the specifics and the date and a description of the offender.
I really feel that Deery listened to me and was very motivated to not have a dishonest dealer at his establishment. I believe he will be doing the right thing and restored my faith in Barneys. Thanks Deery for talking with me about this issue.

they put on a good Cannabis Cup party at the coffeeshop and Uptown. met great and giving people on the Barney's staff.

this became my default place to go for breakfast and dinner. very chill place.

I was there only for their Caramella Cream hash... I tried it one or two years ago and wasn´t impressed nothing special and overpriced (18€/g). But now they won again a cup for their Caramella so I thought they had a new version on their menu for sure... the budtender showed it to me and it looked so damn nice! It looked like a big dark brown egg very oily... looked very clean and completely different than the batch I got years before.
The effect is very clean and strong, too. Really great quality...
Ok 18€/g is a "little bit" overpriced but it was the best hash I found on that trip.

I went to all four Barney's locations on my visit to Amsterdam last week. I liked Barney's Lounge the best. We were able to relax in a booth and use the vaporizer. The staff were some of the most courteous and helpful in town. I also went to Barney's Uptown a couple of times and enjoyed smoking while drinking beer and eating a burger. Barney's coffeeshop is a little too crowded for me and the Farm can also be crowded. Tangerine Dream was good as was the Blue Cheese. The Caramella Cream was also tasty, but I spent lots of time vaporizing Dr Grinspoon. I spent the last day of my trip smoking Butter from Voyager's on top of Dr Grinspoon. Nice

was in two days ago tried the tangerine dream, what a waste of 15e dont bother if i was you, cant really say about the vibe as it was busy and had to buy and go, this was my first visit back in 5 yrs as rude budtender last time, they wont see my money again i am afraid, if thats a cup winner they should try my grows lol

I asked what was good atm and he showed me the Blue Cheese which to be fair did look good but I do get better cheese back here in the UK, however i dont really like the strain that much anyway. He then showed me the red diesel, this looked and smelt LOVELY! I picked out a nice nug (around 1.6 i think) and preceded to smoke.....VERY tasty 8.5/10
I then got 1g of King Hassan which was a pretty good hash all in all - 8/10
My friend got the Vanilla Kush which was also very very good - 8.5/10

Barneys! you know someting i remember the day b4 making my first trip over was looking at this place on the net..thinking how cool the place looked..and the name where it came from reeaded all about this place and couldnt wait to hit this Shop.
walked in the first time and i was like WOW a free T-shrit wait got free this free that FREE everything! Even got a TIE..Hat..just everything they sell wit the barney name on it!
I was thiknig How cool the owner must be and all the staff ... WEll that ended just after my first visite! i ran in too the Biggest ASSHOLE you can come across (beside me:D ) this rip me off insulted me he even told other clients about me in my back Did i say he rip me off?
