Hello people,

I went to BlueBird this weekend and see Ingi (ex Utopia) is now working here.
I spoke with her and she looks happy and likes the place.

Indeed, excellent news, Ingi was always one of the soundest budtenders around and an undoubted asset to any shop, will genuinely make more of an effort to pass by Bluebird on my next trip if she's on staff there.

I haven't bothered with the Bluebird in recent visits, and frankly the only smoke they had that I went for was the water-pressed hash (though I liked the flavoured coffees), but shall definitely look in next time. Good to hear this.

Good news and the new look Bluebird is great, better layout downstairs and they got rid of the suicide stairs.

But those stairs had tradition! Did they replace them with a rope, abandoning all pretence of graduated ascent, or are you just supposed to take a deep toke and float elegantly upwards?

They actually made it a much more gradual ascent and the steps are way wider. The start of the stairs is closer to the entrance if that make sense.

I wasn't being entirely serious. But has anyone noticed that at 1e Hulp, after months of renovation, the steps remained exactly as they were? There are hardly very many of them -- maybe six to the higher level, and five to the lower one, but they're irritatingly irregularly spaced.

Tbf I was a big fan of the old Bluebird so was sceptical about the renovations, but I think they've upgraded it while retaining some of the original feel.

Wow. I probably shouldn't speak too soon, but that may be the first example of a renovated coffeeshop I've seen that's actually an improvement on what went before.
