Amazed Pipe

Post by redeyezman »

Well the Journey pipe fellow taking to long to get stock available so I'm going withthis "Amazed Pipe" Seems to be generally the same concept of having longer smoke path to help cool the smoke. I will review more when she arrives in the post.

REVIEW:

It works fucking great! Plenty of tar near start of "320mm path" and basically NONE at the end. Gradually less tar from start to end, so you can really see "how well it works."

I won't say the smoke is as cool as a bong, but easily the coolest smoke to come from a pipe I have ever used. I think this would help keep bongs cleaner, longer too if used in lieu of a stem. Those are usually the most fragile part anyhow.

The end you load your gear is in is deceptively small, and will hold plenty. A nice size nug, ground up easily fit.

There is a screen in the end you put your gear in. On the "main body" portion of the 3 total pieces. I don't recall seeing this mention on the manufacture page ( http://www.red-eye.co.uk/ ) and that is really the only reason I mention it. If you ever need to replace it you'd have to cut to size.

Will post an update upon first cleaning. Just planning on doing q-tip + alcohol.

Just looked.

They look useful for a quick smoke.

Is there anything they need though, like gauze etc?

And how many hits do you get off a bud?

No nothing extra is needed other than some good gear. Those replicas might be ok if saving some money is your goal, but I like the stainless steel model I got.

After about 10 days of daily use, (2.5g) she needs to be cleaned. Thinking about unscrewing it and storing in alcohol between uses. Any other owners have bright idea on keeping clean?

Also stock screen got a hole after about 14 or 21 grams. Now i gotta chase for screens....fuck

Yeah. Just put salt and rubbing alcohol in a glass jar, and shake for a few minutes. Comes out looking, and smoking like brand new. Enjoy!

That's where the journey pipe wins out... It's screenless! And really really simple to clean!

After almost a year of use... I appreciate it even more!
