What Is the Difference Between Genotype and Phenotype?

Post by uperbatt »

When growing cannabis, the reasonable expectation is that the plants should exhibit the same traits as the origin of the seed. In other words, the plants should be the same as the mother plant from which the seeds were taken.

However, that is not always the case.

Most growers, in fact, had experienced growing a particular strain. During the latter part of the growth cycle and onto the bloom phase, one or more plants in a batch may exhibit different traits. Less experienced people would, therefore, conclude that somehow, there was a mix up in the seeds.

It is in this regard that knowledge and understanding of two terms https://homegrowncannabisco.com/gyo/the ... phenotype/ that many have come across becomes apparent – genotype and phenotype.
