Suggestions?

Do u reckon that i can start a grow in uk in a small homemade tent with just flourescent bulbs and a standard light bulb for heat or is it just too cold here at the moment? I am only thinking about one plant for now til i got enough spare cash to buy some decent equipment? So what do you all think?

If you are only thinking one or a few plants, indoor is the way to go this time of year. Any time you are getting temps below 65 degrees Fahrenheit/18 degrees Celsius, you are asking for problems, and I assume it is colder than that at night this time of year. You probably can even get away with just CFLs and no additional lamp for heat if operating indoors. Have fun!

I would suggest that you procure an MH/HPS lighting set. CFL's are less expensive and cooler temps, but at harvest time you will kick yourself when comparing CFL's crops to MH/HPS crops. In my experiences, for every gram produced under CFL's, MH/HPS will produce 10-15 grams or more. However, I do understand that there are mitigating circumstances that may preclude the use of an MH/HPS system.

I would also suggest that you read more about the cannabis plant. Proper research can enable you to achieve successful harvests. Given the content of your message, your knowledge of cannabis seems limited, no offense intended. May I suggest a little light reading:
