I'am doing a checklist of the places i wanna see/visit, and MORE IMPORTANT, the coffeeshops i wanna chill in...

So, here's the list of to coffeeshops..

There are some of them that i already knew, but iam looking forward to find new ones....
I CAME HERE TO HAVE SOME INDICATIONS OF YOU GUYS, MASTERS OF CS CRAWLING

And there are some strains i wanna try, that were not available in my 2 other trips...

Grey Area had a great Iceolator type hash back in Oct. I like the BlueBird CS, but it was my first shop back when Van Gogh graced the 50 guilder note. Enjoy your trip and that is quite a list you have already.

I can't imagine visiting Amsterdam and not getting a little bit of culture at the very least. Even if you aren't into regular museums like the Rijksmuseum (which is worth it to see 'The Night Watch' alone), one can always visit the Hash, Marijuana and Hemp museum or the Torture Museum! I couldn't possibly spend all day and night sitting in a coffeeshop.

I agree on the culture thing but the Torture museum is awful and a waste of time/money imo.

IMO the best way to experience Amsterdam culture is to wrap up warm, get stoned and wander around!Best way to see the city, unless ur brave enough to cycle that is :D

Thanks a lot guys...but i think you all have misundertood me...

Let me fix things up...

I've already made my non-CS visiting list hahahah

I just forgot to put it on my post.

As Being me third trip to the DAM, as i told, many of the cultural points i already met.
But i'am looking forward to catch up again with the places i miss the most.

I'am also a museum and cultural rat, as a CS rat too :D

Iam planing to go again to Rijksmuseum (one of the best museums i've ever knew), Anne Frank's Huis, Hash and Mary Museum...

(Van Gogh perhaps not again)

Rembrandt Huis too...

Amsterdam Arena, Sex Museum, Torture Museum, Sint Nicolaas Boat Ride, Heineken Experience, Browerij D'IJ...

Any more tips???

In CS's and touristic points...

P.S. I hope that Ajax beats Juventus and keep it going on Europa League.

Maybe i'll be able to see same soccer game...being from brazilie, i love soccer. :D

Now i think i've made myself understood.

Peace out m8's. 8)

And YES Boner, i'll cycle again, and a LOT this time...

I thing that a bike is a very introspective and nice way to tour the Dam...
And it matches with the freedom of being into the city of dreams and dreamers...

My last visit was in the deep winter...cycling got a little complicated...

But now, i'am going in april..i hope for warmer days...
At least warmer than January.

Thanks for the heads up on the Torture Museum. Sounded cool, but I don't want to waste money on it if it's not that good.

Two other suggestions I might make are the Verzetsmuseum (Dutch Resistance Museum) and the Tropenmuseum (Museum of the Tropics). They're both over by the Artis so you could hit up Het Ballonnetje and De Overkant Hortus.

I didn't find the Sex Museum any better either.

As for the coffeeshop list, then it sounds like a good one to me. Although Oude Kerk has now changed name and doesn't look the same as before decor wise....but i have not been in since so can't really say much.
Also Stones Cafe is just a smoker friendly bar now (no smoking menu), but i am pretty sure Stones Corner just up the road is still a coffeeshop - never been inside though.

I'm sure you will have no problem getting those strains around too looking at recent reports.

I did not realize the number of culture vultures out there. :)

The Netherlands has a museum card for about 39 euros, it does not cover the Ann Frank house the Sex museum or the Hash museum. It does cover the rest of the museums mentioned as well as the church in the attic in the RLD. It also covers museums in the rest of the country and it is good for a year.
