Thinking of coming over for Kings Day, arriving 4/25 and staying about a week, so I'll miss the 420 festivities...
Any ideas what Kings Day will be like after being postponed for two years? I was there for Kings Day in 2014 and had a great time.
If I make the trip, it'll be solo and I'll probably do another live thread like back in August.
Solo trip April 2022?
Re: Solo trip April 2022?
Not so much thinking about it now, have a flight booked, just no hotel or return flight yet!
Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?

Kings Day is 10X better than 420
Every Amsterdamer is a 420 nut on Kings Day

Re: Solo trip April 2022?
Seeing the 420 thread is getting me pumped for my upcoming trip, flight is on Sunday!
This could very well be my last trip to the Dam for the sole purpose of coffeeshop hopping.
Just a few days ago, it was announced that recreational sales were being allowed in my state, effective this Thursday, 4/21. Seems like they missed a great opportunity to capitalize on the hype around 4/20! There will only by 11 dispensaries licensed to sell recreationall to start, with more being added - but luckily one is 15 minutes from my front door.
Not only that, but I recently discovered that there are quite a few coffeeshops in NYC (I live less than an hour outside Manhattan), with lounges, snacks and beverages. They're not exactly legal, but they have been allowed to stay open.
So it will be hard to justify the expense, and leaving the wife at home, just to smoke and hang out in coffeeshops, when the same can be done here. I'm sure I'll be back, but the pull to return I'm sure will be significantly lessened.
